No Eddie Murphy isnt finished...and he has had successes throughout the late 80's. Bowfinger, Shrek and the Nutty Professor films...

Im assuming that Murphy, the producers and director thought they could fix the film during production...but, they failed...I dont think anyone in Hollywood is blaming Murphy for it though.. Thats why he recieved zero flack for not promoting the film. He will keep getting his 20mil paychecks and have more successes *and* more flops...

Now John Travolta on the other hand...His Battleship Earth was his baby...and the mess that *that* film was has done some major damage to his career..Couple that with the string of flops afterwards and well, this man better make a blockbuster soon or he is dead.

I'll never forgive Tarentino for foisting this hack back upon us. Yes, I enjoyed him in Pulp Fiction. But absolutely everything since has been SHIT!. And he only worked in that movie, because it almost seemed like a big joke. And it's turned out to be a pretty damn good one haha.

Doesn't seem to hold Kevin Costner back.

like Many Hugely Successful Entertainers from back in the day Eddie Murphy has been on a "POP PASS".but the fact folks still are talking about Him&the fact He still is rolling&20 Years deep as a Black Actor speaks volumes to me.He is still one of the Most Successful Actors of any Race Period.Box-Office will tell you that.He still is Hanging with Tom Crusie IMHO.His Numbers aren't what they use to be but ask yourself How Many Actors in Hollywood have had 100 Million Dollar Makers in the 80's?90's?00"s? Eddie is one of the few.if He can Sell a Wack Piece of Crap like Dr.Dolittle 1&2 then you know the Man is badd!!

To be honest he hasn't been in that many CLASSIC films IMO. It's usually been his personality, humour, charisma and "It factor" rather than good scripts on the whole.

Last film of his I enjoyed overall was probably Boomerang.

Coming To America and Beverly Hills Cop were cool.

His comedy standup films are where it's at.

The only thing shrouding Eddies cool is the fact he finally has stiff competition after all these years.

U now got Ice Cube, Chris Rock, Chris Tucker (love him), Will barf Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and others...

Would be so great 2 see the likes of these people ALL in 1 movie.

I liked BHC the first time I saw it, but in later years it doesn't stick to my ribs. Coming To America was ok. I guess I just don't like Murphy much.

Pluto Nash was filmed back in 2000. Everyone associated with this film knew that it would flop.
