I usually wear neutral shades of lipstick. But if I wear a dark red or dark pink, they appear to look fuller. Use a lip liner so the color doesnt bleed. ! Wearing a dark or quite bright shade helps. As does gloss. As for the lip-liner thing, Erin's mostly right. But it IS possible to go slightly outside your lip line and not have anyone notice. I can do it, but only cause of years of preactice. My upper lip is quite thin and a bit uneven, so I just fill out the one side to make them look even. What I do that works, though, is use the liner not just to line, but fill in my lips with as well. Then I use a gloss over that for the plumpest looking lips. It is true, though, that if you try to get away with anything more than a fraction over your lip line it's gonna look clownish. |

I'd always heard that darker shades make thin lips look even thinner (b/c it draws more attention to the shape/size)

Neutral, glossy lip colour can make them appear slightly fuller....slightly.

Maybe it's a psychological thing on behalf of the wearer, cause I can totally see what you're saying... but I always think my lips look better with deep, bright colors. |

I will try different lip stick shades now. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

Anyone else with make up tip questions or tips? Welllll, I use "Lip Venom" by Du-Wop ... and it really works. But if you dont want to use that OR use liner either, just use two colors, close in color but one a little darker, probably nuetral, and use the lighter one in the middle of your bottom lip and a little in the middle and use the darker shade in the corners I guess you would call them. *DONT FORGET TO BLEND We both laugh, at the most random situations
That's the key, baby don't you agree?

P.S.-"Flesh" colors will make them look bigger, since you cant divine where the lips and skin begin, but not like frosted beige or anything, you will look cheap We both laugh, at the most random situations

I have some flesh/nude colored lip sticks and I am trying to work with those, and see if they can make my lips look bigger. [Edited 6/17/07 19:24pm] I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

There was a chick I worked w/ once who would wear a Verushka-type shade most of the time (for those who aren't MAC savvy it's a deep, dark plummy color but very nice)... It sorta worked on her b/c her hair was dark so she wasn't just all lips coming @ you. BUT her lips were so fucking thin, I remember thinking, "Damn, her lips are so thin they're hardly there" every single time she wore that shade. It was just like a beaming light saying, "look @ these thin-ass shits!!!" I guess it depends on the person, the shade & probably the shape of the lip. But the dark theory wasn't working on that heffa
