It's funny, I keep hearing people say that London folks are so unhospitable but I never get anything but the best service and nicest people when I go there... eventually I figured out that it was because I apparently sound like a Londoner when I speak, cos one woman asked me if I wanted a discount card at a grocery store and I said "nah, I'm only a tourist" and she said "no way! You sound like a right Londoner!" so that explains it. Ergo, Imago you need to practice your London accent.

Also I don't agree with your assessment of Paris, I love that city to death. I went in October though so I think I had a bit less (other) tourists to worry about, then it's much more of a Parisian air about it.
