You sound like a right Londoner!" so that explains it. Ergo, Imago you need to practice your London accent.
Also I don't agree with your assessment of Paris, I love that city to death. I went in October though so I think I had a bit less (other) tourists to worry about, then it's much more of a Parisian air about it. I feel exactly the same way. I had no problems in Paris. Everyone was sweet to me. London, forget it, nothing but the sweetest most intelligent people ever. As a matter of fact when I was in New York back in the early 90's, I had a blast. I met people that actually helped us get around. M MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! As for London, despite the nasty atitude I got from folks I ran into, I found the city very charming. I don't attribute my experience to anything more than chance, and the fact that all big cities have this nasty attitude in it. If I had run into nice folks, it would have been different. Plus at a few restaurants folks were being seated and waited on much quicker than my family. I'm playing the race card here, but I found no other reason for that treatment. Again, not enough to keep me away--I loved London, and will visit it again when I visit my sister again. Though the #1 city on my list now is Edinburgh Scotland Who wants to do a mini-invasion Endiburgh?

That's the Ely cathedral. It was the largest cathedral we visited (even larger than St. Pauls, though St. Paul's has a huge dome, second only the St. Peters). I would say that Ely is on par with Notre Damn with it's grandeur, though Notre Damn feels more haunted.
