Your romantic story?

Romantic moments! heart fallinluv
Engagements?
Weddings?
First time you saw that special someone?
What was it like to meet that person? etc?
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

I celebrated Christmat for the first time this year..
My fiance came and took me out for breakfast,
He had paid a small diner owner to open for a few hours just for him,
He had the cook make us smile face pan cakes biggrin

He had set all the tables with white silk clothes and tons of candles and roses, the food was served on crystal, and he had brought wine from his trip to Italy

It was truely amazing

when my hubby came home for christmas he surprised me with a date night for us.
He called a friend and had them come over to stay the night with my mom and daughter.
he got a hotel room with jaquzzi, bought flowers, candles, scented body oils
packed me a overnight bag put it in the car
bought dove chocolates, strawberries, whipped cream and champagne

put it all in the room

then later that day he asked me where I wanted to go for dinner, I said anywhere so we went to a japanese restuarant of his choosing. After dinner we drove around and then he pulled up to this hotel and I was like um what's this he said you'll see.

I asked him again what this was and he just opened the door and went in lighting candles on the way
the champagne was chilled and the glasses were frosted
he walked in and turned on our wedding song on a cd player he'd put in the room the cd was a compliation disc of romantic tunes
I cried I was so touched, he did all of this without me knowing. he thought of everything. every detail was planned out.
It was wonderful.
it was more romantic than our wedding night because it was unexpected and I didn't have to think of anything.

This is probably gonna be really corny but....

The first time I went out on a date with my bf was very romantic. He was about a block or two away, standing at the bus stop and I saw him before he saw me. I literally felt a hot sensation going through my body. (no...not the sexual kind!! lol) I started running/walking faster towards him. I could not stop. lol So he finally sees me and is crossing the street. This huge goofy grin is on both of our faces and we end up hugging all tight and personal like we've known each other forever. He says "you're really here..." in this soft, deep voice and I melt. It was the first time I heard his mini-accent. We end up kissing. And I don't mean a friendly pecky on the cheek. This was a "romantic music flourish" kind of kiss.
We decided to go on a simple date--Border's. It turned out to be not only the perfect date, but a wonderful hotspot for future outings. We walked together holding hands and talking. It felt like the most natural, wonderful thing in the world. It felt like that one thing that had been missing was finally in full view at 6 feet 2 inches with soft tan skin and curly hair. (and a cute, slightly German-accented voice.)
Eventually we made it to Border's and watched the sun set outside from the second floor. He gently took my hand and kissed it softly; something no man has ever done. It wasn't a fast kiss. It was like...he was trying to indulge my scent, my texture, and my warmth. Like he wanted to take in a part of me for himself to keep. I melted like butter again, of course. We left a little later, heading home. He bought me a little candy, I kissed him on the cheek. We walked down a block, turned the corner and....bam....had the kiss. GOD how can I describe it?! It was so soft...so gentle...so slow...so....passionate. It was so deep! It was literally something I thought I was bad at. I came to find that I was with people who wanted to slob. I was just fine. We held each other close....we let heat build between us....and it felt so good. This super warm feeling began to rise from my groin to my belly. It just felt like..."this is it. He's the one." We could not let go of one another. Once we stopped, he said to me "haha...where are we?" with this supercute dazed look on his face. I just grinned at him and confirmed in my head that I loved him....and had literally been hit with love at first sight....the one thing I had denied could ever happen. Hell...I wasn't even expecting him!! I never thought in a million years that someone would fall for my strangeness. Haha...we both fell...HARD!! biggrin

when my now hubby and i got engaged, we had 2 save up 4 our engagement party and we had my ring on layby.

our party was set 4 Oct 1992, and we had budgeted 2 collect my ring a week b4.

one weekend in August 1992 , my fiance got up early after working 10 days straight 2 go and help his father in his garden. Was i fuming- he works extremely hard and deserved a day off. mad

he helped his dad and then we went 2 town 2 visit my nan and a friend who had just had a baby in 2 seperate hospitals.

driving home later 2 get ready 2 celebrate a friends birthday, i noticed the lights werent working on our car- and he went ballistic- as it was getting dark and when we went out we would need the lights.I told him not 2 worry, our friend would understand if we didnt make it- but he told me 2 go and get ready anyway, while he tried 2 fix it.
when i came out into the living room, he was standing in the middle of the room with a huge bunch of flowers, and he was shaking. I asked him what were the flowers 4, and he said 2 go with this- he then got on his knees and gave me my ring!!! it was such a huge suprise- no wonder he was getting all worked up over the headlights lol

Unbeknownst 2 me , he had gone and collected my ring and bought flowers. He had hid the flowers in the boot of the car.
When we visited my nan 1st, we had a present 4 the new baby on the back-seat and i wanted 2 put it in the boot, he said it would b fine where it was- normally i would argue the point (i can b bossy sometimes)- but luckily this day i didnt.

i did feel bad 4 getting mad earlier in the day, but i was only sticking up 4 my man after all! lol
seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before music beret

I'm so jaded.....I love these stories though.

A century ago I went on one of my most romantic dates. It was very simple. I was kinda dating this guy. We decided to spend the day in Santa Cruz. We had dinner. We went to the boardwalk. Kissed on the Big Dipper. What was cool was that he was touchy feely but not overly touchy feely. It was perfect. We walked along the railroad tracks and kissed on the bridge. He didn't mind that people saw us touching. ****sigh*****

He's now a priest.

Mine is not romantic but just sweet. I think it was my senior year of high school and the group of people I hung out with forgot my birthday on that day! sad So I was sitting on a bench outside by myself during lunch and a guy that I sort of talked to just said hi and bye in the hallway came up to me and sat next to me. The guy was sort of the goth type of guy and I was the happy, rainbow, Hello-Kitty and glitter type of person and he said to me, "I remembered that it's your birthday, since I heard you mention the date to someone a while ago, and I got you something. It's small but I know how you like Hello-Kitty," and it was Hello-Kitty stuffed animal key chains and stickers! bawl I wanted to cry! Such a sweet guy!

Maybe not the most romantic, but the story of my first love...

I met him the night of my junior prom, which I didn't attend as I was waiting overnight for Cure tickets. He had dyed black hair and was a bit of a bad boy and I'd come alone, as all my friends were at the prom (bleh. lol ). I found out he recently transferred to my school, just hadn't met him yet. I had an instant crush but he had a girlfriend who went to a different school, so I figured we could be friends.

School ended and I decided I had to take matters into my own hands and got his number from a friend of a friend and called him up one summer night. It really was innocent, we went to a park and caught fire flys and he gave me my first cigarette. (I suppose I should have known then he was bad for me. lol.)

We spent the summer hanging out and he and the girl broke up somewhere in there but we'd firmly entered friendship territory at that point, so I just pretended I didn't have a crush and we went along with things as they were. We became inseparable. We spent lots of time explaining to people that no, we weren't dating, we were merely friends. Best friends at this point. And I lived for his hugs goodbye. He gave some incredibly great hugs. mushy

At the end of the summer he went to visit his parents in New Mexico (long story why he wasn't living with them) and called me every night, telling me how much he missed me. One night very late as we were both practically falling asleep on the phone as we were saying goodbye he said, "I love you". I held my breath not knowing what to say and he quickly added, "you know, it's good to love your friends". sigh

We were now in the beginning of our senior year in high school and the topic of "what's next in your life" was always being talked about and he kept mentioning that he'd love to live with me but didn't think I'd take him.

Finally one night I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted him badly enough I couldn't keep dancing around it. We were hugging goodbye in my car (often a 15 minute or more ritual mushy ) and I remember the Cure's 'Close To Me' was on the radio ( cheese ) and I got the courage up to ask him, "John, do you ever think about me and you?" He didn't say anything. Just pulled back and kissed me.

It was my first kiss.

Way later, he told me that it was at that exact moment he realized this was going to be his first, serious, grown-up relationship.

It was good for a while and got all kinds of crazy and dysfunctional by the end, but that was my first love.
