I am SO BUMMED about Bobby and Silv!

I can't believe Phil got the upper hand... but Tony's not dead yet.

I can't believe it's ending...

but Sil might as well be dead, since he's not going to regain consciousness, so in a sense, he's gone too. But the way they got Bobby, was just messed up!!! makes me appreciate that it was Tony who got Chrissy and not Phil....

just watched it.... eek .....lots of things going on! This episode made New Jersey look like a bunch of idiots compared to NYC. The hit fuck up.....man, how could that happen?? They shouldn't have gotten the italians to do it!
Did anyone catch the newspaper heading of the article next to the article of the hit? It said 'Boost for New Jersey 'Idiots''.....it kind of says it all!
I believe Sil won't make it, the shooting of Bobby in the trainstore was some awesome choreography, very well filmed.....poor Bobby, his death will be remembered as one of the most beautiful ones in the series.
I wonder where this all will end.....I'm afraid that New Jersey won't get a hold of Phil and his crew.....maybe Paulie will be the last man standing to protect Tony, something nobody would have thought a couple of episodes back.

Great fucking awesome tv!!!! clapping

Another speculation:

Phil will order Paulie to whack Tony, and promises Paulie that he can head New Jersey.....After the hit, Phil doesn't live up to his promise and has Paulie whacked.....also: either AJ or Meadow will get it!

I'm gonna miss this show! sad

nod exactly, now for the life of me, why would you hire the italians for the hit on Phil?? I would have thought that Tony would have ordered someone closer to do the hit personally. And speaking of which, that damn Butch, Tony should have capped him in the restaurant. I don't like the way that guy looks, never did.

Really don't know what else is going to happen next. It sure was funny when Dr. Melfi fired Tony as her patient....he was acting like she was breaking up with him. It was hilarious how she was acting all cold to him like she could have cared less about his weekly "whining" about his family. When he stood up i thought he was going to choke her!!!

Don't know what the last episode will bring, but I know for sure that it's going to bring something unexpected. I just hope Phil doesn't try to fuck with Tony's "biological" family. He'd officially be a cold bastard if he did that.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The family will live , first off Tony SAID
the family doesnt get touched.

Also the point of this season is to SHOW how all the people involved in this lifestyle will turn out. Either they get out somewhat WHEN /IF THEY GET A CHANCE, subsist marginally, or die.

You see how his kids are locked into the life. Even Meadow has sunk back in by dating an associate and gave up "Med" school.

Carm couldve got out via paris and even SAW those "lights" out there and then you saw her this week looking at the pics from that trip .

Chrissy had his out by staying away from drugs, but didnt.

Vito couldve been a store clerk of antiques and get flamed to his content.
But he chose to come back etc.

The reason he hires the outside italians is because Tony has no way of knowing who in his crew is being watched by Phil's hit squad, so they need a surprize face to do the Phil hit.

umm just because Tony said that doesn't mean that it's set in stone. Remember the reason why Phil is doing all of this...he said that he felt that Tony was disrespecting "this thing". What makes you think that Phil won't step outside of the rules to accomplish his goal? If his men can't find Tony to whack, then what do you think is next? Everybody who is a mafia head knows that if they can't get to the target, they just get to whoever is closer.

well if they actually did hit Phil, and he is the target, what difference would it had made if Tony's men had did it or not? Phil already knew that if he didn't hit first with a vengeance, that eventually Tony would hit him first. Had Chrissy been alive, he would have taken Phil out, the right way, before Phil left town.

U missed the point...if tonys people are being watched then they (phil) would know if tony is doing the hit as opposed to if the unknown italians are doing the hit for him

I stumbled on this, and I must say that it does make sense:

This season has been pure Dante. Each episode loosely based on the 9 circles of Hell. The punished included the innocent, the slothful, the greedy, the violent, the fraudulent, the suicides (AJ?), and blasphemers. The 9th circle is where the traitors reside, so the possibilities for next week (the finale) are fantastic.

Check out the similarities (numbering the 9 episodes of the current half-season as 1 to 9):

:

Episode 1 - Soprano Home Movies - Dante's 1st level of hell is purgatory, or limbo. no punishment meted out here. people are peaceful, yet sad. that episode involved no deaths (aside from a bit character in the laundromat), but an idyllic (and some say slow-paced) episode by a lake in upstate NY.

Episode 2 - Stage 5 - the premiere of Cleaver. Level 2 of Dante's hell is where the "lustful" spend eternity, those who betrayed reason at the behest of their appetites for pleasure. this episode sealed Christopher's fate, when Tony embraced him at the baptism, and told Melfi about how Chrissy hated him. you knew then that Christopher was not going to survive.

Episode 3 - Remember When - This episode saw the fractured relationship between Tony and Paulie, and almost saw Tony kill Paulie on the boat in Florida. It also showed the end for Junior. Level 3 of Dante's hell is for the gluttons, consumed in excess, and is filled with putrid water and stinking mud. Like the water around the boat, perhaps?

Episode 4 - Chasing It - This episode saw Tony's gambling losses escalate and his relationship with Hesh crumble. Dante's level 4 of hell was for those who lived greedily, those who stockpiled their fortunes, hoarding everything. Sound like Hesh?

Episode 5 - Walk Like A Man - this was a hateful episode, showing AJ taking joy in other's pain in order to heal from depression, and Christopher bearing the brunt of ostracization, and the feud between him and Paulie. Dante's 5th level of hell is reserved for the wrathful and the gloomy, punishing the cruel, vindictive, and hateful.

Episode 6 - Kennedy & Heidi - We see Christopher's death at Tony's hands, Tony's Vegas trip, and him screaming "I get it!" at the blinking sun. Level 6 of Dante's hell is for the heretics who fail to believe in God and the afterlife. Some have commented that this episode saw Tony reconcile with the fact that he's happy he's an evil guy, and that killing his cousin made him content, so therefore he turned from God and didn't mind heading toward hell. Maybe "I get it!" was Tony yelling to the universe that he understood there was no God, and that the ends justify the means, allowing him to revel in his evil without fear of divine retribution? That's something a heretic might do.

Episode 7 - The Second Coming - AJ's attempted suicide - the savage beating of Coco - the start of the NY/NJ war. Dante's 7th level of hell is reserved for the violent, the assasins, the war-mongers; and also those who commit suicide. Enough said.

Episode 8 - The Blue Comet - the end of Tony's therapy with Melfi - the full blown war - the killing of Bobby - maybe of Sil? Level 8 of hell involves "many and varied sinners," such as the seducers and the pimps (Sil runs the Bing), the barraters (those who commit an "unlawful breach of duty on the part of a ship's master or crew resulting in injury to the ship's owner" - which could be just about anyone in the NJ crew after Phil's bungling whacking), the thieves (which Bobby essentially was, not a true killer), and the hypocrites (Melfi).

Episode 9 - Made in America - The End. Level 9 of Dante's hell is the deepest level, where Satan himself resides (maybe Tony will die and see for himself what that sun was saying to him when flashing...his peyote experince might have been wrong, and instead of "there is no God," the Sun was saying, "this is hell, you're heading the right way!"). The traitors live here, Judas and Brutus included.

Discuss!

I can't take credit for it, but I sure wish I could! cool

Funny enough, I think that Janis is too much of a minor character in this drama (compared to the others) that it would be some sort of a disappointment if she would shoot Tony.....but ofcourse, this show is so good that I'm sure that Chase would find an inlet for it if it was his intension.....
Personally, I have this feeling that Paulie will be loyal to Tony until his last breathe.....2 more days to go.....actually, I will have to wait for Monday night late....(if I can find the proper download immediately!).....it will be hard for me not to be tempted to read reviews before I can see it! I'm gonna try!
