My nemesis was the neighbor. After living next door for 12 years, she all of sudden decided she didn't want any dogs barking. She had a stopwatch and timed whenever our dog barked, then call us to say we needed to bring our dog in the house. We kept bark collars on our dogs so she wouldn't be disturbed. It became difficult to travel for fear the house sitter let the dogs bark.
They get out in the backyard sometimes, by pushing doors, and she called animal control as they barked. Then I noticed the other neighbors had barking dogs, spoke with them and "no, she hadn't complained" to them. We called animal control for a mediation meeting. She wouldn't attend. That was the end of it. smile
