My brother in law has had the sleep paralysis thing, I think. He felt like he had someone kneeling on his chest, holding his arms down. Isn't that something to do with Incubus or Succubus?

they usually attach to the top of ones head, and you won't feel it, just an energy drain.

^^one time when I was "out" I felt like I was being attacked and it did feel like my energy was being drained. I felt so weak....and most of it felt like it was being sucked out from my back or spine...

A girl from our circle of friends tragically passed away. Us girls spent a weekend at one of our old hang outs and had somewhat of a memorial and reunion. My friend Sue awoke with a very clean, precise scratch on her arm. It was the letter 'T' and our friend who passed away was named Tiffany. She was definitely there with us in spirit.

Wow, usually more advanced ppl are able to do that, what did sue do in regular life.

Sue is currently a stay at home mom. Sue and Tiffany (my friend who passed away) grew up together from early childhood.

Those are your chakras of course. If you constantly OBE, you can create a defense mechanism on the astral, a sword is probably the most effective, since Europeans adepts had used it for centuries and they better understood such things (except for the Christian orthodox ofcourse)

biggrin no. I don't have any TK powers nor do I know Uri Geller. biggrin
We can all do it though, mind over matter, just like the yogi's who manifest inanimate objects. Again, if you astral, you can create realities on that plane which might spill over to this one. You should try to contact your family or guardian angel next time.

I can feel things, spirits maybe? I never see them though. My ex-roommate could see spirits. He told me he saw them as solid objects though. They were never see through. He says that there's a little girl in my house. I sometimes feel her but I think it's just because he told me about her.

I sleep in the room where my mom passed away. I have never ever been afraid to sleep in my room. One of my ex boyfriends lived with me and he said that he saw a woman sitting on the end of the bed. I guess it was her just checking him out.He never met her. I never asked him what she looked like.

I have volumes and volumes of stories that have been told by my parents and relatives. There are some really crazy ones.

I once had someone move a chair in my house and it freaked me out. I was doing the wash. My washer is in the back. I made a beeline to the washer, dropped the clothes off and on the way back I almost ran into a chair. It was obviously in my way. At first I just moved it then I started to think. I was a little freaked for a minute.

I see things just when I'm on the verge of falling asleep. It's like news-reels in my mind. They don't feel like dreams. It's all very fast and cut-up.

The best way I could describe it is like watching Madonna's frantic 'Ray Of Light' video - but even quicker. It's been happening more and more often as I've gotten older. I never remember the imagery and have this nagging foreboding at the back of my mind that I shouldn't even attempt to remember it all.

My boyfriend has had a couple of strange activities going on..

When he was about 13 years old, he spent some time at his grandparents in the summer. They live in Tampere, another city over 100 miles from his own home.

When he got back, a few weeks later he really wanted to visit them again, and it wasn't normal behavior, that he just missed them, but his moter told me he was really demanding and worried about it. His mother said no, because they lived so far and didn't want to bother them.

For a few nights, he couldn't sleep. He would stay up until 4am and had this guilty, bad feeling, as if he'd done something bad. He was very confused, because he knew he hadn't done anthing. He got some sleep after a few days.

During that same summer, his grandfather from Tampere died unexpectedly. sad

---

One night my boyfriend woke up to a strange dream, where his other grandmother had called for help. All, my boyfriend, his parents and his other grandmother lived in the same house. In the morning he woke up and tols his mother about the dream. His mother started to wonder where his grandmother actually was, cause she hadn't gotten up yet.

They found her on the bathroom floor, where she had been the whole night: she had gotten a fever during the night and had collapsed in the bathroom. His granmother is a bit on the apathetic side, and she said that she didn't even try to call out for help.

The bathroom was all the way accross the house and far from the room where my boyfriend slept, so there's no way he could have heard her fall.

---

My boyfriend (and so do I) believes these are just very sensitive intuitions, which all people have, but people don't take notice of them, because they're so stressed out and occupied.. Even so they're really interesting still. smile

I did in a lucid dream...not in the "astral though" and I saw a spark of white light in the distance. I had some dreams of being lift up and someone is at my side...holding me. I had no luck with close family, they never showed. Only one person I hardly knew showed up a few times...gave me tight hug.

On "Coast to Coast" they often talk about people experiencing an old hag sitting on their chest giving them a suffocating feeling. Don't know anyone it's happened to though.

We had an entity that would throw things around our house. We would clean everything and go out or go to bed and drawers would get dumped and everything would be oput of place. Very annoying. When we finally moved the problem didn't go with us.

Tiffany was an event organizer for a company in Texas. All of us girls believed in spirituality, but Tiff was probably the least vocal in her beliefs.

I've heard that mentioned on Coast to Coast, and the fact that the "old hag" is so pervasive (everywhere) makes me think she was a very powerful old witch or conjured up by someone, whatever that entity is, it's quite powerful.

This probably isn't anything, but lots of times when I'm just on the verge of falling alseep I'll hear a scream that'll jolt me back awake. I've also been awakened in the middle of the night by loud noises that seemingly come from nowhere. confused

I have a great interest in the Celtic based idea of 'in-between' places having a certain power to connect with the "Otherworld". Being in that foggy state between being fully conscious and asleep may open people up to hearing or seeing things they normally wouldn't... I've experienced the very same thing, where I heard people talking or loud noises bolting me upright - and it feels distinctly different from dreaming. The sound is very real but yet seems disconnected from anything physically around me.

Now, on to my stories...
lol

A couple I've told here before in more detail but will skim over quickly. Almost 10 years ago now, I moved into a 19 room Victorian built in 1889.

After I first moved in, while in the process of cleaning/unpacking, I would often see a little black shape dart around corners or between boxes. I have a black cat and at first I thought it was just her doing the usual "I'm-a-ninja-cat-and-you-can't-see-me" routine but then I kept seeing this little black shape when I KNEW my cat was outside or fast asleep in another part of the house. After a while, other people saw it. One day someone at my business asked if we had brought our black cat into work with us (obviously, we hadn't) because they saw a little shadow darting around the office. Since that day, I've not seen it in the house again and no one ever saw it at the office. Whatever it was, if you choose to believe it was something at all, hitched a ride to work and then wandered away into the world on it's own.

The other thing that's happened in this house is, which is really, plainly odd... One afternoon, I was upstairs and heard something drop in a back room. I suddenly was overcome by this really, really strong smell of green beans and ham. As I made my way to this room, the smell got stronger and I could have sworn I head the sound of pots and pans. When I opened the door, the room was empty but for a small pepper shaker was in corner of the room, still filled with pepper. Fairly vintage, maybe 1950's or so. The fact is this upstairs bedroom was used as a kitchen at one point when the original owner made an apartment for rent upstairs. Now, I've never really heard any 'ghost food' stories before but there you have it. The whole upstairs smelled like green beans all evening long.

This house has lots of odd sounds, etc, in it and I have a few other stories but those are the most curious to me, especially the first one given people unconnected with it saw the same thing.

Another story, experienced as a child in a different house. We lived in a double for a while with relatives living next door. One night around 1 or 2 in the morning my mother and I (who lived alone) heard what sounded like someone in wet boots come sloshing up the stairs. We both freaked and got up but no one was there. After we went back to bed, we heard it again. Mother convinced me it must be my Aunt next door doing something but we continued to hear it off and on until we fell asleep, just like someone walking up and down the stairs over and over running around hurridly. When I woke up the next morning, a door in my bedroom that leads to the outside had been unlocked and opened at some point during the night. Later that day, my cousins called to ask what we'd been doing all night... eek
