I don't get it. Her sentence was reduced to 23 days, now it's back to 45 days? Why does the judge keep changing this?

pasquerto

because she was released early...she'll get a five day credit but go back for the rest of the time. Good for the judge for putting his foot down. She shouldn't be given ANY special treatment (which she already is) so hopefully they will make a great example of her

I agree with you both to some extent.

Do I think the original sentence was over-the-top? Absolutely.

Do I think she should go to prison? No.

Do I think she should get her head out of her ass and start respecting the law? Yes.

Paris Hilton or not... this seems like an excessive sentence to me. Do people normally get jailtime for this type of thing?

I save my sympathies for folks with real problems(like victims of police misconduct), not this walking sperm receptacle. As pasquerto said, bravo to the judge for doing the right thing. Sh!t, Li'l Kim & Martha Stewart went to jail - why should the Hilton Ho be treated any different?

Well actually the Police have been really nice to her, letting her go home early and all... It's the Judge (who's sticking it to her)

Geraldo on Fox News made the point... he knows of not a single case where someone has been sentenced to jail for driving with a suspended license, when there was no accident. The sentence was excessive, just made to satisfy the public.

she probably wouldn't have gotten jailtime, had she shown up on time for her court apperance in the fist place.

showing up 10 minutes late for court can cause a more severe sentence. it's the lack of respect for the law she showed from the beginning.

they broke away from real news to show that shit... (it was great to see though) she's being evaluated, apparently she's on the verge of a brakedown... REALITY WILL DO THAT to those who don't live in the real world with the rest of us. lol
