Maybe men (mostly young men) expect their women to act like porn stars because they have been exposed to so much of it online during the past ten years or so. When you have a bunch of young people with easy internet access, BitTorrent, and zillions of porn sites with free samples, plus a reluctance by parents to really teach children about sexuality in an honest way, they're going to emulate what they see porn stars doing in bed. When I was in high school, just getting my hands on a Playboy or Penthouse magazine was a big deal, especially with my hormone-raging self. These days, the average 13 year old can download considerably more graphic sexual content then I could ever hoped to see at the same age. Unfortunately, you have a lot of guys having really bad sex because of this, believing that the only way to pleasure a woman is to fuck her like they are drilling for oil. What's really disturbing is that some young women feel as though they have to perform like porn stars in order to attract and keep a man, and they start emulating porn starlets like Jenna Jameson or slutty party girls like the Britney/Lindsay/Paris triumvate.

People pay all kinds of lip service to what they say they want in a partner, but (in reality) a lot of people suffer from the "I wouldn't belong to any club that would have me as a member" mentality and have unrealistic expectations. Too many people taking their cues from movies, TV, songs. | |
