I know you're afan of hers but.....

I chose it because I felt there was a wee bit of justice served yesterday. Even if they let her back out today or tomorrow, she got what was coming to her yesterday. I found great joy that her money did not get her celebrity justice this one time. I don't particular care that this person is Paris Hilton. It could be anyone who thinks there' a different set of rules for them.

Ironically, all the lawyers on TV who practice in L.A. are saying that she's actually getting a harsher sentence than anyone else would for the same crime. shrug

Yeah, I've heard that too, so I am curious if anyone here knows what the regular sentence is for what she did.

And I am curious that if she got a harsher sentence, why would she say she was going to serve it and not have her lawyers appeal it? I would probably feel different about this situation if I had heard anything in the news about her saying she got a harsher sentence than most. Fair is fair.

It's actually really uncommon to get jail time for driving on a suspended license unless there are other factors, such as OUI.

Did she go to any ARD classes or anything like that???

In PA. if you get DUI and go to ARD your license is only suspended for 30 days. After that you are on probation for a yr.

If you get caught driving on a suspended license it is really up to your PO and the judge WHAT happens to you.

So it IS REALLY possible that Paris got a harder sentence than some. If her judge was a hard ass.

I think it's because there were already people like Nancy Grace and others on TV bitching and moaning every night about how she's getting special treatment, etc.

Also, it's not so much the sentence that's harsher, it's the amount of time that would actually be served, due to over-crowding and what-not. A guy that practices law in the county last night said that most people that got this sentence would serve 10% of it before being released (which she did, being credited for 5 days served).

Why didn't you (or don't you) like me?

Do you ever see yourself getting married?

What is one of your biggest pet peeves?

How much do you generally tip?

What was your favorite class in highschool?

1. Lots of reasons but more that had to do with me and not you. I tend to be a very serious perosn and I didn't get your brand of humor. I'm learning to accept people more.

2. Never. If I can find a partner that loves me, coming home to that person everyday would be enough for me.

3. Selfish people.

4. Good service: 20%, bad service: zero.

5. My favorite class in high school was Physics.

1. Until recently, I never had to discipline my kids. I feel very lucky and blessed. I have really great kids. I now spank my daughter and I absolutely hate it. Mainly because it doesn't work.

2. My daughter is going through the terrible teens a little early so she is being disrespectful and acting out. I'm about two sexonds from putting her ass out my house.

3. I don't really have a color but my favorite is blue.

4. The only Avon product I use is this face scrubber stuff. I can't recall the name right now but it's blue with microbeads in it and it is the fucking bomb.

5. No, I'm not an outdoors person but I love going for walks with friends.

6. Ultimate day out? I think it's coming up with seeing Prince at Macy's and hanging with a bunch of fellow Orgers. I'm really looking forward to meeting Ken.

My son who is 4 is my first born. I never spanked him. I did the time out thing bacause that was 'the rite thing' to do. rolleyes Well he walked/walks all over me. I started spanking him (not ALL the time but when he doesn't listen) and he doesn't walk on me as much anymore.

How old is your daughter?

My daughter is 2 and a LOT less difficult than my son was at her age.

But I hear girls are MUCH more difficult than boys when they get older.

My daughter's 12. I think she is just acting out because of our living situation so I am going remove her from it as soon as possible.

Damn Org hiccups. rolleyes

1. I live with family. 'Nuff said.

2. I expect my partner to love me as I am, to support me emotionally. Spoil me when I walk in the door from work. Little things, I'm not a materialistic person. I used to have very high expectations, I don't anymore. I used to see things in people that weren't there. I don't do that anymore. I used to have a fairy tale view but now I am realistic.

3. Monica Bellucci is the single most beautiful woman in show business to me. Her husband, Vincent Cassel, is the single most beautiful man in showbusiness to me.
