I saw The Horrors on Monday, The Pipettes on Tuesday and The Long Blondes last night--all from the U.K. I'm trying to write reviews of the shows for my blog as we speak. I'm an art guy, not a writer so it's always like pulling teeth. Otherwise I'd be home sitting on the couch watching the Yankees on TV right now.

I'm not damosuzuki or anything so I don't think they are that obscure. I first saw The Horrors on MTV (okay it was the Subterranean show on MTV2, but that's still MTV), I read about the Long Blondes in Rolling Stone and The Pipettes I first discovered through The Village Voice and later in Billboard magazine. So the outlets are the same as what everyone else sees, I just look for the bands in the smaller type so to speak.

The Pipettes are playing in San Fran on the 12th. You should check them out. I guarantee it will be a very fun show.
