It moved me to write to Karen, the strip's author.



Yesterday, your strip dealt with how no money trickles down to help families of children with autism and today, you had Eve talk about just wanting to have something go right for a change. I was in tears after reading your strip today. I am so tired, so frustrated, so angry, so many things in dealing with my son, Daniel. I really don't know what to do anymore. I also just want one thing to go right for us. I live in a buidling with my family, much of who I support and much of who doesn't support my son and I. They really resent him and I fear they resent me because they don't want to be bothered with him and because I can't handle him to their specifications.



I just want to tell you I appreciate you.

There is nothing BUT love for you here my dear....

My oldest son has severe ADHD and before the right dosage and medications were found, our life was very trying. Luke is now 11 and getting to be a gig boy....I hope you know you are not alone in this world or in your struggles.

Hang in there. You're a strong woman and those that resent your son do not have the depth of your compassion.

awww sweetie..keep your chin up and your love strong..Your son is blessed to have a mother who loves him to no end..It is often difficult for ones who do not have daily struggles either with their children or spouse or anything else to fully relate or know how someone feels who does daily deal with challenges. It takes a special person to deal with special people and you my dear are a gift from God as well as your son..

I don't do this often because they often appear to be so insincere, but this hug is real.

My son is going through a stage where he is being somewhat difficult to handle and it's hard to deal with sometimes, hard to know what to do, so frustrating and overwhelming, especially when you are trying to do it on your own.

I know that this doesn't even come close to trying to raise an autistic child, I'm just saying that I sometimes feel the feelings you feel and that you should never beat yourself up for feeling them.
