I think I like Halloween more than Christmas.

Mainly because it's a fun night and Christmas seems more far-fetched because we really don't know when Christ was born.

The bible says the shepards were out in the feild when he was born, so that leaves the winter months out.

Halloween I get to go to the Universal Studios thing. That's fun!

ps...for an interesting read on background of Christianity taking over Pagan traditions in the quest for conversion, check out Tom Robbins' "Jitterbug Perfume." It's fictional but he relies very heavily on facts to tell the story...

Adopting Paganism ...

WOW!
You know your history, don't you?
Interestingly...the same thing happened after Columbus & the Spaniards decimated the Americas...
...in order to justify the horrific conquest of the native peoples, the Spanish forced the indigenous peoples to convert.

Every Mayan & Aztec temple was leveled, and a church built out of the stones. As with t he European pagans, the Spaniards also had to compromise and to this day, most indigenous "Catholics" incorporate their native beliefs with Christian customs.
By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Question2002

I never looked at Halloween as the devil's
day just a day to be a kid and have fun
I took my son to my old neighborhood and we
had a ball.

Halloween will never be like we had it.
It has been spoiled by too many bad people.

Kids should enjoy their childhood your only
a child once in your life time be a kid and
have fun.

I still dress up and gave out candy to the
kids and enjoy it. cool
