I've shaken the hands of quite a few political rock stars.

I knew a girl who used to post here who did a "lil" bit more than touch Prince....

I did the same as you when I'd needed to walk by where Prince sat. I'd love to have taken a good look but doing that would feel intrusive and weird to me - and especially so at such close range! I do all my gawking from a respectful distance.

actually touched? not a whole lot, because i am sensitive about strangers wanting to hug me or touch me, so i am cautious of other people's boundaries. parker posey, who in her naturally pixie-like being, elbowed me in the ribs several times, which made me want to hit her, and i almost lit heather matarazzo's hair on fire.

...but i have met quite a few.

Tori Amos gave me a hug after she signed my CD at a radio station, definitely the sweetest disposition Ive seen in a celeb.

I live in Santa Barbara, Ca. We get alot of celebs out here tryin' to escape L.A. I have not touched them, because frankly I am not interested in touching them. But here are a few I have seen walking along our streets, beaches etc. and of course, tons of celebs live in "montecito" a swanky very expensive area here.

Mariah Carey was on the beach outside her hotel "The Bacara"
Gwen Stefani w/ Hubby and child on the beach (a couple months back)
Jessica and Nick (when they were together)
Rob Lowe (lives here, and can be seen often at a cafe in montecito)
Oprah and Gayle eating lunch with a group in montecito
Dr. Laura, takes walks with her husband downtown s.b. all the time
Allan Thicke lives here and is can be found walking around at our "farmers market"
That comedian with the last name "Miller" he used to have a night talk show, and was a comentator of the NFL for awhile, he is always walking downtown, I stood next to him at Barnes and Noble, but had no reason to touch him.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt had a house in montecito, and would always be found in the local cafe's
Andy Garcia filmed a b-rated movie in the building that I work in about 10 years ago, damn he was gorgeous!!
kinda boring after awhile, they come here to "escape" I don't want to bug.

I recently met Guy Maddin, the Canadian film director (Saddest Song in the World, Dracula:Pages of a Virgin's Diary, etc), and I think I shook his hand. He even said my name sounded familiar, as I exchanged a couple emails with him last year. He's famous in my world.

I could go on forever....she was not a nice employer, she was very rude and demeaning towards the help. I was only there because the money was great, and a friend of mine had set it up. She wasn't a great Mom at that time, she was never around, and when she was she would let her kids get away with murder, which was hard to handle after she left again for a couple of weeks, and her kids were way obnoxious!!!
