What does it mean when you have a blister on your eye? Yes...I have a flipping clear BLISTER on my right eyeball! I just noticed it tonight and it hurts!
Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm kinda worried.

It means you need to get to a DR.
I'm firmly planted in denial

Is it actually on the globe or the conjunctiva? (the surrounding tissue)
An Opthamologist is best to see.

An Opthamologist is best to see. It's on the globe of my eye and my eye is very tired. Would something like this be considered an emergency? I'm debating about making an appointment with an opthamologist vs. going to an urgent care.

I've gotten a "sty" before:

I'm going to go tomorrow. I hope I'm not growing a conjoined twin or something! That's awful. Yeah, I think you're right to be worried. I don't know if this actually makes any SENSE, but if it were me, I'd consider it an emergency if I could see it in my field of vision (ie. it's affecting a part of the cornea that could impair my vision). If not, I'd wait until the next day, unless I couldn't stand the pain. For whatever that's worth. I tend to be a bit jumpy about eye stuff, personally. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

If it's actually on the eye itself, I'd go to urgent care. You may not see someone immediately tomorrow, and delaying treatment could affect your vision.
What I've done is call around at the hospitals/urgent care and see what the wait time is,as it could be anywhere between 2,-12,-24, hours wait, depending on how busy the place is. I work at a trauma center and for quicker treatment I go elsewhere. An urgent care center should diagnose the problem.

It's not blocking my field of vision and it seems to hurt more now that I've taken my contacts out. I work for a healthcare system, so I think it'll be pretty easy for me to get in to see a doc tomorrow. I'm just a little freaked out because I've never seen this before.

I work for a healthcare system and we've got a couple of urgent care facilities as well as five emergency departments. Plus, there are many opthamologists I can choose from. I will probably go the urgent care or opthamology route in the morning. I just don't want to sit in a waiting room all night.

Here's a picture: http://www.opt.pacificu.e...g%2022.jpg If that is what you have, it could be caused by a number of different things ranging from dry eye to allergies to a bacterial infection to having rubbed or scratched your eye somehow, and so treatment would be dependent on cause. Definitely see your opthamologist tomorrow about this, but try not to worry tonight.

Maybe it's just starting out?

It's clear, so it's hard to see. I've been showing my coworkers. I've got an appt with an opthamologist in two hours, so hopefully, the mystery will be solved!

I'm debating about making an appointment with an opthamologist vs. going to an urgent care. I've had something like that before. It's no big deal. Just use regular eyedrops to keep it a little more comfortable (it can be annoying to have it rubbing against the eyelid). Any time I've had this (it's been awhile), it's gone away on its own. Try not to rub it. You'll be fine. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
