Hi,

I am in Vienna for five days next week and I would like to go to Budapest for couple of days. I looked for some airtickets and it was close to 500 Euros and wanted to see if travelling by train might be a cheaper option. is this better option or should I just fork the money for my airtickets? Any advise would be great.

Thanks

I use to work for Nokia. Might not be a bad idea to go see Helsinki.

I think travelling by train should be cheaper. Check out http://www.oebb.at/vip8/o.../index.jsp for further information.

There's nothing much to see in Denmark so there's not really any reason to go there. Problem solved. big grin

If you still for some mysterious reason want to go there, I suggest you take the train. http://www.sj.se/sj/jsp/p...?d=10&l=en

Defintly go by train. Interrail sells tickets that are valid in the countries you want to visit. 500 euro max for 3-4 weeks of travelling by train.

BTW, I was in Budapest in 2002 and it is a beautiful city nod. I also visited one or two small villages near the Austrian border on various occasions, but that doesn't count lol.
