Going to a basketball game is SO MUCH FUN woot! I wish I could go more often... & I still like playing tennis when I get the chance biggrin

I can't say it's super powerful in MY life, but I can appreciate how important it is to others nod Though I still hated it when my ex bf would have the tv on Sports Center ALL NIGHT LONG mad

lol

The fact that you like sports is hot! lol also the fact that you tolerate ESPN sportscenter is hot! lol So you wanna get down on some tennis and go to ESPN sportszone! lol

I'd come into sports later in life. As a kid, I played in the neighborhood like everyone else (football, basketball, soccer etc.) But I had stopped somewhere along the way in high school. I later took up kickboxing at a local gym where I met my first martial arts instructor and started competing in the Chinese martial art tournament circuit. I'd competed for ten years and had retired nationally ranked number three in the country for men's sparring (lightweight division) and number two for Men's forms (katas). I am now a certified personal trainer and love it when people see progress as they get fitter. You can see the changes physically as well as mentally.

Sports have no real effect on my life other than when I am annoyed that a tv show may be pre-empted by a game of some kind. lol
I played softball and volley ball and did gymnastics as a child and had an ok time of it but I was pretty much done with it all by age 12. If the right group of people said, hey, let's play a game of kickball! or something, I may play just for a leisurely afternoon activity, but I can't stand uber-competitiveness so I tend to stay away from sports-types.

Football & basketball are my crack/cocaine, especially football. There is no sports league better than the NFL. Love my Giants, love my Knicks(even though they'll suck for the next decade).

yeah, same here. i don't "get" sports. i don't understand competition, either. i grew up without siblings, so there was never any need for me to compete for anything...just to do something as well as i have it pictured in my mind. sports is all about competition. and teamwork. i hate teamwork. give it to me, i'll do it my damn self. lol

i'm sorry. i'm glad it does good things for other people. go cub sox!
