Fauxie

My teeth were never incredibly white what with all the candy I ate as a child, and I brushed too and my teeth were clean, but since I started smoking they've turned too yellow for my liking. I've used Crest Whitestrips in the past as was happy with the results, but they don't sell them here. Now I use Sparkle whitening booster toothpaste, but instead of using it half and half with my normal Colgate stuff I just put some in my mouth and swish it around for 20 minutes. That seems to make more out of the peroxide in it.

I also have this 35% peroxide set with heat forming mouth trays and remineralizing gel (the strong stuff does weaken the enamel, so be careful). I've still not used this because I'm a little scared. lol One or two treatments at this strength will see a noticable difference and after a week I doubt I'll need to whiten my teeth for years.

Bright white glowing teeth are scary. Normal healthy teeth have a very very light tint of yellow to them. I had my teeth "zoomed" and it hurt like hell!! after the 3rd 15 minute session, any air that hit myteeth made me squirm. Then, after that, you have to bleach at home to keep your teeth white. dentist recommend after you Zoom your teeth, you should always drink a straw. Your teeth become more prone to discoloration after professional bleaching. Bottom line, it takes alot of work to keep your teeth white after you have them bleached. If you dont, they become worse than you started out with.

Zoom $ 550.00
at home bleach kit 35.00 a month.

Enamel on teeth= screwed.

Crest white strips are safer and work well

biggrin

I am a clean teeth freak. I love going to the dentist (weird, I know). I just went yesterday and both the dentist & hygenist were like, "Your teeth are SO clean!" (No cavities, of course!) mr.green

The other day I asked my supervisor to approve time off for aforementioned dentist appt and she said to let me know if I liked my dentist (1st time w/this one--my other one relocated to Cali). Anyway, she said to tell her if I liked the dentist b/c she hadn't gotten one since she moved to New York (two years ago)! ill disbelief And if that's not gross enough, she seems like the type of person who sometimes skips brushing teeth before bed or after meals. barf Nasty.
