relationship question hey folks,
heres the story - i met this greek girl and i fell for her. The prob is that shes seeing this greek dude...they've been dating 5 yrs now. Its not a question of attraction, she likes me a lot, in fact she spends time with me too. We dont kiss, but we hold hands on the street, hug a lot, go for iced caps, laugh, etc... I guess u can say that she has strong feelings for me too. My friends said that what she does with me can definitely be called cheating. One thing u dont know about me - i can be both charming and stupid, not at the same time. ANd i told her something stupid a few hrs ago. One of my friends told me that the saying 'once a cheter, always a cheater' applies to her and that i should let her go. I told her this. And she took it extremely bad. My question is, given that what she does with me is definitely sincere and is a reflection of how strongly she feels about me, how can i put a positive spin on that 'once a cheater always a cheater' saying? Or, even better, what do u think i should do with her? I totally like her and would do anything to, not only get her, but also to be with her for a shitload of time.

Moderator | So she's been with this other dude for 5 years? Seems like that relationship is strong.
You should let her go, she's not meant for you to have. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

If you mean what you say then Be her friend... ...If things are meant to be they will follow... ...Don't force it (excuse the expression)

You can't... That's the truth...and yeah... it can hurt ..But she is being honest and kind to you... ...She has feelings that have to be respected.. especially by those who care... such as you... ... it hurts.... but in time who knows... ... maybe she can accept you closer... ... or maybe you meet someone you like even better .. ... Life can be cruel.... but it's better being hnest wih yourself than leading your life in a dream

You should let her go, she's not meant for you to have. Going strong? She's emotionally tied to another man. If she hasn't ended it, she is either not all that into you or she is one confused chick and you don't need that kinda drama. I'd walk away.

When I temporarily lived In Spain I got into a relationhsip with a Sanish girl who had a boyfriend for 6 years or so. They hardly saw eachother, eren't in love anymore, lived in different cities and he never came to visit her. They had a pretty bad relationship that was destined to fail, but they kept on going because of fear of letting go and expectations of their parents.
Yeah she cheated on him with me. She cheated big time all the way. So after a while I told her to either dump the guy or dump me. Then she wanted to know whether we would have a future together. That was hard to say; except for this particular issue I like her a lot but since I only lived in Spain temporarily and I wasn't planning on being second choice, we stood little chance. Still, she dumped him for me, but once I left Spain she got him back, only to end it for good a year later.
