If only one member or lurker takes notice of this then it may be my most worthwhile thread PLEASE have regular cervical exams, chicas. Cervical cancer is one of the very few cancers that can pretty much always be detected before it becomes a serious problem. But if it goes undetected, and reaches your adrenal system, treatment is generally unsuccessful. I'd personally rather have six root canals than go through one pelvic exam, but it's a necessary evil, trust me. If you've been putting it off, call your doctor today and schedule it! sorry to hear about your friend..hope there is family to help with the children,, I've gone to Planned Parenthood for exams when I didn't have insurance...they work on a sliding fee scale...I think I paid $15 for my exams at that time. You may want to check them out.

Many times there is no cost for paps.

i was so guilty of not going because i wasn't sexually active.
hello? the virus that makes cervical cells turn cancerous could care less whether i was getting any or not. it can take years to develop...a couple clear results do not mean you can drop your guard. pelvic exams are still our best defense against it. consider getting the hpv vaccine for your daughters

I just turned 34 today. I know I have been procrastinating on my exam (2 years since my last one). I promise I'll set an appointment in the morning.
