I had news tonight that a friend of a friend died of cervical cancer sad...she was 32 and left behind a husband, 3 year old daughter and 12 year old boy sad rose....please have regular check ups...for the sake of a few minutes.....sad dove
If only one member or lurker takes notice of this then it may be my most worthwhile thread

PLEASE have regular cervical exams, chicas.

Cervical cancer is one of the very few cancers that can pretty much always be detected before it becomes a serious problem. But if it goes undetected, and reaches your adrenal system, treatment is generally unsuccessful. sad I'd personally rather have six root canals than go through one pelvic exam, but it's a necessary evil, trust me. If you've been putting it off, call your doctor today and schedule it!

I've gone to Planned Parenthood for exams when I didn't have insurance...they work on a sliding fee scale...I think I paid $15 for my exams at that time. You may want to check them out.

depends on how funding is....PPs fees can go up and down depending on funding.

Try to find a Title 10 family planning clinic in your area. Many times there is no cost for paps.

i was so guilty of not going because i wasn't sexually active. hammer
hello? nuts the virus that makes cervical cells turn cancerous could care less whether i was getting any or not. it can take years to develop...a couple clear results do not mean you can drop your guard. pelvic exams are still our best defense against it.

consider getting the hpv vaccine for your daughters cool

I just turned 34 today. I know I have been procrastinating on my exam (2 years since my last one). I promise I'll set an appointment in the morning.
