Someone called out office on Friday Night (I hate shift work). Due to sheer boredom and the need to give myself a laugh I did the following... Instead of answering the phone with the standard "0371, Network Support" I decided to be silly and answer...

"300, THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!"

They hung up and never called back.

Damn my job sucks...

I was doing a shit telesales job some years back, and I used to pretend to put ppl on hold, then hum a bit of classical music, then come back again.

What tune did you hum? hmm

Pachelbel's Canon. Or sometimes, "Hold the Line" by Toto. It varied depending on my mood

There was a co-worker who pissed me off..

he bought his lunch but left it on his desk while he went to play football during his lunch hour

so I got an orange work envelope and put his lunch in and posted it in the internal post.

The post has to go miles to the head office where it gets sorted, and the next day it got delivered back to him

Way back when I was working in a circuit board production area, I took these hundreds of little pegs, drew faces on them, glued them to pieces of cardboard, glued tiny signs to a few of the pegs (saying "Good job!", "Way to go!", etc.), and put them in people's toolboxes so they all had cheering sections when they opened them up to work. biggrin
