WTF?

I was talking to my brother over the weekend about Hostel 2. He caught the show on Friday, and was telling me that some young lady had a BABY with her. Oh my god?! Granted the baby was probably too young to comprehend what was happening on screen.....but still he told me that the baby was crying at certain parts during the movie. I'm shocked they let the lady in with a child. They( the cinema/young lady) should've also considered other moviegoers....because a baby can't control their cries. I really hope the baby was too young to understand, because I caught the movie on Saturday, and it is not a movie for a young child. I know I'm being hypocritical here because I grew up watching horror movies myself. Well, actually I highly doubt my parents would let me see Hostel at that age.....Freddy, Jason, and the like, yeah, but never Hostel.

Babies should be banned from theaters, period.

Hostel 2 wasn't quite as violent as I had expected. Actually, I think it's more tame than the first one. That lady is nuts for bringing her kid to it though.

Eww I died laughing when that man was talking about his wife. I thought that whole angle with the two guy best friends was kinda corny.....kinda reminded me of Sean/Christian from Nip/Tuck.

I went to see Hannibal in the theater and these parents brought their young kids with them.



I could hardly concentrate on the crap movie.

I didn't even think very young kids would be into those kind of horrors.....maybe they were forced due to no babysitter.

Don't they ask for ID if really young looking people want to buy tickets for rated R films. I know this happened to me in my freshman year of college when the ticket person asked me for ID to see some scary film.

back in the long ago when i worked at an AMC theater. as part of their "silence is golden" program, AMC would not allow children under 3 into any R-rated movies. loads of parents complained because it meant they had to get babysitters for their small kids. i'm not sure of they still do that.

we also didn't let in anyone under 17 without a parent or guardian (21+). that made a lot of high school kids grumpy when 17-year-old Johnny could go to the movie but his 16-year-old buddy or girlfriend couldn't!

I think what they did is buy tickets for some other movie and go into Hannibal. It was one of those multiplexes.

Well when I was buying my tix for 300 the guy wanted to card me, but I didn't have any ID with my birthdate on it so he was like "I cant sell you tickets"
So what did I do? Took two steps over and just bought them at the ticket machine and there was nothing he could do.

again, back in the day of 6 screens, we patrolled that shit and got an unjustified amount of pleasure from ejecting the scofflaws who snuck around. i doubt they do that in a 24-plex.

I think it depends on how harsh the movie is. I remember being in the third grade and my aunts taking us to see Jason Goes to Hell. I saw kids I knew from my class and school there , but I mean Jason doesn't compare to Hostel as far as gore/subject matter.

Granted it was the drive in, but those movies were disturbing to say the least.

Now concerning Hostel2...absolutely, positively no desire to see any of it.
