true. hmmm

The school I was aiming for costs $20,000 a year.

Wow. That's expensive for a Canadian school! Are you trying to get into McGill or something!?!?

I satisfied my school's funding requirements by securing U.S. Financial Aid and sending a letter showing my salary would support me during my program. I never had to flash a bank statement with the total amount upfront, for example. Are you working here at all? (Or able to show you have been promised work pending a visa?) And does Israel offer aid for studying abroad?

No aid from Israel, and no, I'm not allowed to work now, so I can't show them any proof. Work visa will allow me 20 hours a week of work, and that's barely enough for living costs.
The school I was going for is MetalWorks Institute

Wow. Sucks. And I assume the school offers no scholarships, eh?
