the scent of ex-lovers... I'm actually neutral about this topic but there isn't a proper emoticon for that
So I went to the gym, took a shower, just put on a fresh t-shirt. I've had this shirt for YEARS now, can't tell you how many times I've washed/bleached it. And I still smell my ex when I wear it. I don't know what it is!! We didn't use the same detergent Maybe it's the bleach? Nah, it can't be. It smells like his hair, his back, his neck - all the spots I liked to nuzzle... Most of the time when I throw on something that was his it's like "oh, I still smell him." But for some reason today it's like, "Daaaaamn, I still smell HIM." I dunno, is his dna in this mf or what? It just takes me back to snuggling up behind him in bed, gripping his chest & wrapping my legs around him... talking until we fell asleep... I keep sniffing it so I guess I miss him right now, which is odd as we've been broken up for YEARS & I rarely miss him... but I guess I do this morning, smell him & miss him... he's still fine too, fuckin' bastid . Everytime I pass a man that is wearing Jean Paul Gaultier, I think of my ex.

Doesn't Jill Scott have a song about this? Yea but it's not even a cologne, he didn't wear cologne actually. So it's not something I'll smell in a store or on another dude. It's just his scent - it's clean & warm, like a "just showered" smell. He just smelled really good... Damn...

Maybe it's in the shirt itself? Maybe the it was the shirt you were smelling all that time and just THOUGHT it was him?
Scent is one of the strongest triggers of memory we have. Doesn't make you soft. Now if you called him and started begging him to take you back, that you'd do ANYTHING to have him back etc...Then I'd be worried about ya! I'm firmly planted in denial

I don't wanna be with him again, unless it's for a couple of hours I think the scent in this one is still apparent b/c he played sports in it so his sweat molecules must be embedded or something Anyway... sniff sniff...
