Can you guys tell me some hangover cures!

I have a really bad one. I just woke up. I need to start getting ready for my buddies wedding and I'm tore up. Need to be with the wedding party @ 9:00 A.M. west coast time so I gotta leave here in an hour. But I need something right now or I am not going to make it! Help with your cures.

Vitamin water, a banana, lots more water, ibuprofen, a good, hot shower and a good breakfast. No grease. Greasy breakfast is only good if you plan to lounge on a couch all day after. Think more yogurt/fruit/granola, maybe some kind of bread product. Though eggs are always good too. Oh, and a long walk always helps. But sounds as if you don't have time for that.

This sounds like an awesome suggestion. The hotel has free continetal breakfast with most of the stuff listed. I'll get started on that soon and go to the gas station to buy vitamin water and ibuprofen!

I have to go to a wedding reception, there will be an open bar that will not be a problem, however i do not want to look like a shitface in the wedding party pictures. So I need cures now.

If you're going to the gas station and they have those "emergen-C" packets, those actually are pretty good too. giggle They're just super doses of vitamin C and other vitamins, you mix them in water. It actually tastes ok and I've found them to be helpful.

Lots and lots of water. That's the only thing that works, in my experience.

It's not recommended by physicians, but part of the reason you're feeling so badly is because you're dehydrated, and the level of alcohol in your system has dropped. I have found that having just one drink in the morning helps to alleviate some of the symptoms by increasing the level of alcohol in your system.

Just ONE though, like a Bloody Mary or something.

It does work to make you feel better to get through the next few hours, but in my experience it just puts off the hagnover till later. lol

You should have drank a pint of water and necked a multi-vitamin before going to sleep.

Ginger Beer will help with nausea - in fact anything with ginger in it will help.

1) Milk Thistle. Get this in a tincture form from your local health store. It will help your liver recover by filtering out toxins. It's completely natural so you can't overdose. Take 1ml a day and double up when you know you're going to have a hard drinking session. It never hurts to have a bit when you get home too.

2) Vitamin C (in ascorbate form) to restore your immune system.

3) Gatorade is great (we don't get it here in the UK though..). Any isotonic energy drink will do so long as it's not carbonated or caffinated.

4) Avoid diuretics like coffee and drink as much water as possible.

5) Avoid big greasy meals thinking it will soak up the booze. Eat light and regularly!

I can guarantee your hangovers will be considerably lessened if you do this every time you go drinking.
