Man Bites Dog is a about a group of guys who are filming a documentary on a serial killer. They follow him around with there cameras, interview him and film him killing people. He kills people many different ways and then eventually they start joining in on the murders and rapes. Its hard disturbing and hard to watch. Its a french film in black and white. I highly recommend it! Peace and Love!

im not to keen on man bites dog...
its a snuff film, a good one, but it didnt carry deep meaning for me ... upon my first viewing of this film..i thought it was a powerful statement on our society..that, and i think the cinesnob wanted to prove that, "yes, i like this daring avant film".. but, it didnt hold up to repeated viewing..the shock value was gone... no deep character study...and i now find the film to be a bore... but, give it a try...it might fit your taste...and who am i to judge a movie? i loved Mulholand Dr.

I love Candyman (one of the only scary movies with a Black Lead)
American Psycho made me sick. My sister read the book when it first came out. I'm glad the movie wasn't half as bad and it was pretty nasty. Silence of the Lambs was good, but not as good as the book. Hannibal Lechter is the Bomb diggity. BTW: Any one seen Red Dragon? Seven was a pretty sick movie too. All good choices. I've never been to fond of: Hallowen, Chainsaw, Freddy and the like. Just too over the top and much over done. **************************************************

I thought American Psycho was really funny, thoroughly enjoyed that one. A classic for me is Silence of the Lambs, really looking forward to see Red Dragon with Edward Norton.

Silence of the Lambs...Great movie!
I know IceNine will comdemn me for this, but I liked Hannibal as well. And yes, sir, the book was a great deal better. For all of you people picking Candyman...That movie terrified me for years, only because I watched it when I was 6. It scared me. I watched it again just recently, and I laughed at it. However, Candyman's voice is still spooky... -------

Check out Manhunter, with William Peterson and Brian Cox. Better than Silence of the Lambs IMO, if you can see past the heavy 80's style that is. I'd have loved to have seen what kind of film Silence would have been with Cox in the Hopkins role.

They're remaking Manhunter and I think Hopkins is going to play Lector again. . . edited due to my stupidity [This message was edited Mon Sep 23 17:44:20 PDT 2002 by bkw] When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
