There's a grassy square in Stockholm that doesn't have nearly as much pedestrian traffic as Trafalgar and every year it's the same pattern; they roll out new grass and less than a month later the whole square is just a field of mud. It's too bad really, because I love park elements in the middle of cities. It breaks off the concrete in a nice way.

They should make it a permanent feature with paths and keep off the grass signs. Maybe some flowers too.

Looks beautiful...saw it on TV last night. Must be really difficult to take care of that...then again, it´s in London, of all places, and the Brits have a reputation as THE grass experts ( grass, not weed ) and should therefor leave the grass there and take good care of it....it´s an English trademark, a tradition, so money should not be an issue.

Lets meet up for a picnic and sunbathing..
