This one's definitely a love it or hate it. I loved it. That said, it wasn't problem free.

-In the second movie it's mentioned that Sparrow and Beckett both left a mark on each other, and it's brought up again in this one. I realize that Beckett's mark could be, and probably is, psychological rather than physical, but we see the brand on Jack's arm, and never have any indication of what mark he left on Cutler Beckett.

-How did the Kraken die?

i felt it was implied that the british navy killed it. either that, or it died like all beached whales do.

-Tia Dalma turning out to be the goddess Calypso was a cool idea, but extremely poorly done. She turns into a giant and stirs up the water a bit? That's it?

but you knew she was Calypso, didn't you?

Things I did like:

-The bittersweet ending. I'm so glad it didn't have a Disney-fied sugary finish.

I thought it was very Disney--the final scene after the credits, I mean.

-Keef's cameo, especially the guitar playing and when Jack asks about his Mum.

-Barbossa and Sparrow behaving like an old married couple

true.

-The wedding scene. I wish I could get married on a pirate ship in the middle of a battle

hated that. cheezy.

-Jack's hallucinations. "Nobody move! I've dropped me brain!"




As for those who say it's confusing: I'm sorry, but you can't be all that bright. Everything important is sorted out for you.
