Bob Huggins Heart Attack I saw this today, and thought perhaps I would spread the word to some of the org's basketball fans.
http://www.ucbearcats.com...SE_ID=1231 CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Bob Huggins "continues to make progress" , according to medical officials at the Medical Center, Beaver, but the Cincinnati head basketball coach continues to be listed in serious but stable condition in the suburban Pittsburgh hospital. Huggins has been at the center since suffering a heart attack early Saturday morning while traveling in Pennsylvania. "He has had a good day and is progressing as well as expected," stated Cincinnati athletics director Bob Goin, who is with the Huggins family in Pittsburgh. "He is resting comfortably. He is being monitored. Things have been looking much better though he is not out of the woods yet." Huggins underwent a heart catheterization and a stent placement for management of an acute myocardial infarction on Saturday. It will be at least three-to-four days before he can be transported back to Cincinnati. Huggins, 49, suffered the heart attack while traveling at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport on Saturday morning. He was brought to Heritage Valley Health System and transferred to the Medical Center, Beaver. Huggins, who was preparing for his 14th season at Cincinnati, is the nation's second-winningest active head coach in Division I, having compiled a 500-172 record for a .744 percentage in 21 seasons. He is 332-100 as Cincinnati's head coach, having directed UC to postseason play in each of his 14 seasons there. - I still don't like Huggins, or UC for that matter, but it's unfortunate he had a heart attack 'n stuff. -------
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti... "I've just had an apostrophe!" "I think you mean an epiphany..." | |
