Today's Catfight on "The View"

Rosie and Elizabeth got into it AGAIN. Did anyone watch? Still, the argument goes back to "Why is this man still in office?" Good question, but the catfight took away from finding the answer...

Yeah, she's dumb. But Rosie isn't any better.

What happened after that?

I REALLY hate Elizabeth's whiny voice. Rosie can be obnoxious and all but she put Elizabeth in place today.

What do you guys think will happen tomorrow? I think Barbara will be on the show and Rosie and Elizabeth will make up and say that they got into a heated arguement.

Rosie's off tomorrow. So maybe Friday will be the make up.

they're just trying to milk the whole red state/blue state political polarization fetish while it's still fashionable...the fifteen minutes on that little phenom is quickly running out. i hope these gals have another schtick prepared...

I'm not sure about that. Things are still extremely polarized here in Florida. I actually know folks in my workplace who don't hangout anymore because of different political beliefs along red/blue lines.

I think the issue with Rosie vs. Pretty Blonde girl is that their tredding old material, and not engaging in true debate--they're just attacking each other's integrity--it might as well have been a presidential debate. shrug

oh, i think incredibly polarized attitudes will always exist, but over the past 8 years or so, it's turned into a national pastime. and i think people are getting tired of everything turning into a political debate or a red vs. blue issue. there'll always be the margin of people who will always get off on it, sure.

I see your point.

But I don't see people around me getting tired of it. It's as bad as it ever was here. The only difference is that the blues are louder now--almost as loud as the reds were just after 9/11.

I'm not immune to it either. I avoid conversations with folks I know are "Reds" in general, depending on who they are of course. shrug

Yeah, I live in Florida too. In a military town. In the "Bible Belt". You can find yourself in a fight real quick that's pretty identical to the "View" debacle. You say something like "We're fighting an illegal war under a president who's an embarrassment to us all" and someone else (who probably doesn't know anything about the situation itself but may have family or friends in Iraq) is going to scream at you for "not supporting the troops." rolleyes

i was in indiana last weekend, and half the cars had bumper stickers all about god, guts & glory and how aborted gay fetuses are going to hell and whatnot. i'm not saying polarization chic is yesterday's news just yet. i just feel a sea change in that this kind of carrying on isn't going to be the media cash cow it has been over the last decade.

LoveAlive

I'm not a big fan of Elizabeth and I do agree and identify a lot with Rosie(I'm very outspoken and tend to have unpopular opinions) but I think that Rosie went too far when she took it personal. She was the one that started the personal attacks first and I tell you this..Elizabeth is better than me because once Rosie made it personal, once I got done, she woulda been running off the stage in tears.
I think that Rosie is entitled to her opinions but so is Elizabeth and for Rosie to make it personal was uncalled for and ridiculous. Just my opinion...

Elizabeth is a goddamned robot and I'm glad Rosie is there to slap her in the face cuz that's what she needs to wake her blind ass up. She still never answered Rosie's question on whether or not she believes Rosie believes the troops are the enemy.....

I'm so sick of Rosie. She's out of control. Not only are most of her comments ridiculous, but her reaction to the reaction she gets is even more ridiculous.

I used to like her. She's just disgusting now, though.

I agree.
I didn't know how sick I was of her until she said Kelly Ripa was homophobic because she told Clay Aiken to get his hand out of her face; that it wouldn't have bothered Kelly so much if it had been Mario Lopez. rolleyes I would have told Clay the same thing.
But I guess she was right about Mario Lopez. shrug He could put anything in my face.

She knew people would say that, because she knows she's a fat bully with a loud mouth and everybody hates her. Not that I'm defending that other chic, 'cause I couldn't care less about her either. Just...Rosie O'Donell used to crack me up. Now she makes sick.
