Stanley Cup finals to open May 28



The Stanley Cup finals will begin May 28 at the home of the Ducks, Western Conference champions



The NHL said Tuesday that the Western Conference champions the Ducks will have home-ice advantage, hosting Games 1, 2 and, if necessary, Games 5 and 7. The Senators will host Games 3, 4 and, if necessary, Game 6.

The start time for all Stanley Cup finals games will be 8 p.m. EDT.

It would have been nice to see the Wings in the finals against the Senators or even the Buffalo Sabres, but it was not meant to be.

Detroit should have taken game five and should not have allowed the Ducks to bumrush the net in the closing seconds of game five.

As well, the Red Wings should have won some of the earlier games against Anaheim due to the fluke and weird goals scored by the Ducks (like the puck deep in the pads of Dominik Hašek, who was being pushed past the goal line).

Senators in six games. Ducks have some spunk and a great goalie in JS Guierre, but got worn out by the Red Wings in the Western Finals.

Not that I am a big fan of either team, i just think Anaheim is going to win.

I'm picking the Senators,but who knows? Anything can happen in the finals.

Ottawa hasn't played a physical team yet in the playoffs, Anaheim is too big, too strong and too skilled.
