U,S and A - here I come :-)

Well, my visa to Canada expires soon, and I must leave the country.
So I thought I'd go for a visit to the States for a couple of weeks.
I'm out of money, so not sure what I'll be doing, but I would like to meet some of you who might be on my way to nowhere.
Maybe Chicago, maybe BY, not sure yet, depends on money, but would love to get some options.
Oh, and if anybody knows of a $5 a night motel, let me know! biggrin

check online for hostels in the US, for cheap accomodations if you can't get friends to put you up.

Well, I did request to extend my visa, but it hasn't been approved yet, and if I don't get it in time I have to leave the country. I will of course try and get back in again. Hopefully. If not, I'm stuck in the US with no money or ticket back home.

I hope not. I don't want to go back there sad
Although I might have to at one point when I do the immigration process. I think it has to go through the country of origin.

I wouldn't know what do to in Sweden. Not to mention my head got banged enough times from lamp posts, with all you sexy blonds walking the streets.
Then again, I'd really like to see your sister drop her pants in public again lol

To be honest, I don't think I could handle Europe. I love Toronto, and really want to make it my home.

Yes. I have a former boss who lives in Upstate NY. I'm hoping he would let me stay with him for a few days. Maybe I could even talk to him about opening a recording studio or a music center in Toronto while I'm there.

Two weeks could be a lot, for someone who only has like a couple of hundred bucks sad

He actually offered several times to help me finance my visa.
Oooh! Maybe he would help finance my studies! Naa, who am I kidding. $20k is too much to ask for sad

Well his plans of opening a studio were spoiled by the guy who bought the studio in Jerusalem and never actually paid for it.
But I've met with my colleague today, whom I worked with in Jerusalem, and we said "why not suggest to him to open a studio for both of us in Toronto?". Of course we were half kidding, but that's not too bad of an idea.
