im stressed out at the current situation. HELP!

Is this weird? but i have been told that i am going to my cousin's bachelor's party. but the problem is that i dont want to go! i am against watching a woman being degraded to other men whatever the situation is. i havent told them how i feel..but the idea of woman stripping isn't to keen with me. im i wrong not to want to go! or im i being a selfish by not going on.

I do not think you should feel like you have to go if you feel uncomfortable about it. It is your cousins thing and he can go and have fun if that is his thing but I think you should do what is best for you.

I think it is your opinion, and you can just tell your cousin that something came up.
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

I was in your same situation and didn't want to do it either. I just didn't feel like I'd be comfy around a naked woman. I ended up going, as I was afraid to offend the bride-to-be, and had a fantastic night. That being said, I'll mention it again: the female stripper was there for a group of females, myself included. lol Different atmosphere. And sexist as it is, there's just something vastly different about it. lol Christ, we had fun.

Anyway, what evenstar said. If anything, tell them that you seriously can't make it. MAKE other plans, and keep them. Even if it's just a movie night with some friends. That way, you're not really lying. If lying isn't your forte'. wink

Again, I must be totally sexist to say this, but I'd be more uncomfortable around a female stripper if I were a guy. lol WTF? It's not like the girl's being forced to do it.

My head's obviously messed up in more ways than I thought. confused

It is not silly to me. I think it is honorable that you are concerned about this enough to discuss it.
I know it is easy for me to sit here and say you should do what is best for you- blah..blah...
but I think you should stick to your guns and do what you feel comfortable with.
I wish all of us would stick to our guns and say no to doing something we feel uncomfortable with. We usually feel guilted into going along with things that we really do not want to do.

Anxiety

one time i was forced to go to show world on 42nd street in NYC. lol

actually, it wasn't as bad as your bachelor party situation - a female friend of mine was throwing a birthday party from hell for her best (female) friend, so we all met for lunch at TGIFridays and then we all had to go to fucking SHOW WORLD after we ate. disbelief

fortunately i was with two girls and my then-boyfriend, so i wasn't exactly trapped in testosterone hell, but i started freaking out when the strippers started coming out and wanting to shake their boobs in our faces. actually, the girl who came up with this bright idea started freaking out at the idea of boobs in her face too, wihch i thought was hiLARious.

anyway, the strippers warmed up to us because we were homos and chicks and not gross old masturbating men, so they'd dance near us and tell us jokes. one of the strippers told us she never did the splits at show world because it was so dirty she was afraid her cootchie would stick to the floor. lol

i guess there's no moral to this story. i just wanted to share that memory. don't go to the party, it sounds lame.

Are you sure there'll be a stripper? I know of several bachelor parties that were suprisingly straight-laced.

But anyway, if you don't wanna go, don't. And simply wait 'til after your cousin is married to offer him the real reason. He may be more sensitive to it in the fresh throws of contractual monogamy. lol

Since you don't believe in it, then don't go. They should respect your opinions and your decision not to go.

Do what you feel is the right thing. Never mind what they think.

if you don't want to go then don't. bachelor party's are over-rated anyway.

please, don't go if you are sure it's a stripper kind of party, it will only distress you hug I have had friends, my brother in law for example, traumatised by what went on at his best friend's bucks night. confused
