Ketchup, onions chopped fine, mustard

...but I'd also add on some shredded cheddar cheese.

Or, instead of ketchup and mustard, BBQ sauce. Preferably Sweet Baby Ray's.

.

This is a very common way to eat hot dog in Sweden:

One or two hot dogs in a flatbread wrap, along with mashed potatoes, lettuce, shrimp sallad, ketchup and mustard. It's very filling and very tasty.

Either Chicago style with the works...

Or kraut with mustard and ketchup.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. smile
A Canadian friend of mine was very skeptical too, but tried it reluctantly and ended up loving it.

My niece lived in Stockholm for 18 months, she worked at "Ericsson"
She loved the expierence, but she lost 15 pounds!! She had a hard time adjusting to the food, and cold..but she always loved the adventure of it all. She was 24 and all alone in Sweden!

You just beat me to posting that! They have THE BEST hot dog. Grey's Papaya rules. I love that they're so cheap, and that awesome onion dressing or whatever it is that only they have.

Really? I've never met an American who thinks our food is strange. The tunnbrödrulle I posted on this thread is a pretty extreme example. Other than that we eat what people in most western countries eat, such as meat, fish, chicken and vegetables. I guess we have an unusual fondness for potatoes, but you guys eat plenty of fries so...

I'm glad she liked it here either way. Ericsson is not the most exciting company in the world to work for, but I'm sure her salary must have been pretty decent. And as always; as long as you surround yourself with nice people then any culture in the world can be a enjoyable. It's the freindships that really matter.

but she always loved the adventure of it all. She was 24 and all alone in Sweden!

A very courageous thing to do. nod

Ericsson put her up in her own fully furnished apartment. It was beautiful!! She took video of it all for us, everthing was so new to her. She worked at Ericsson here, they transferred her there for 18 months all expenses paid PLUS a hefty bonus!! lol

They did jack up the price recently, but it's still fairly cheaper than other places. And their papaya drinks are good too. nod

I prefer corndogs.

They don't require a bun.
I like 'em with mustard.
I always enjoy one while waiting in line at a carnival ride.
And when I'm done,
I'm left with a sharp wooden stick.
Which comes in handy if find myself sharing a cart with a vampire on the ferris wheel or seating next to an emo kid in the giant teacup.

lol Weird. I started humming "The Question of U" as soon as I opened this thread.

I'm from Chicago. I like my hot dog with everything but super hot peppers and tomatoes. But for me...the perfect hot dog would be....

~A kosher beef or non-kosher pork hot dog,
~must be on a regular or poppyseed bun,
~Has to have ketchup and mustard
~Must have some sort of pickle or sweet pepper
~MUST have diced onions. MUST MUST MUST!!
~Oh yeah...and fries. Mother must have the fries. Thick, skinny...but nicely salted and with bbq sauce. Ohhhh babeh.
