Burlesque is not just taking your clothes of and obviously she wouldn't be as famous and popular as she is if that's all she was doing. Strippers are a dime a dozen and can be found in any town. What Dita does and how she does it is quite unique and in a way artistic, especially in a day and age where nudity and overt sexuality is all too common. I honestly don't see anything wrong with the age difference thing...but, what I do wonder is with that much of a difference...aren't there things that you just can't connect on because of level of life experence or growing up in a whole different generation?

With my May-December, she was (and is) an exceptionally intelligent girl who gravitated towards older men because, as she put it, "What am I going to learn from a guy my own age?". Besides having similar interests in the arts and sexuality and both of us working in the fashion industry, I enjoyed "tutoring" her (if you will).

We just hung out the other day and, truthfully, the age difference rarely crosses my mind; I have friends my own age whose level of life experience is equally disparate from mine.

But you're right - an age difference like that generally stacks the odds against you in an area (sustaining a healthy, long term relationship) where the odds are slim to begin with. Generally, it tends to be an old horndog trying to rationalize getting it up for the touch of the younger kind by invoking all sorts of romantic bullshit. While I don't do that (although I certainly cop to being an old horndog), I will freely admit that this was the pecking order of the attributes that initially drew me to her:

1. Looks
2. Kinkiness

Her turning out to be an unusually smart and sensitive person was just pure, freakin' luck (luck I'm grateful for every time I see her).
