I love watching those shows...I love watching anything to do with sweets. I think I watched a show on Hitory channel about making chocolate and other candy I do too. I used to watch that show Sweet Dreams too, but I don't think it comes on anymore. The other show Sugar Rush is gone too.....that one didn't last long at all. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Okay duff is awesome at the "industrial art" side of decorating but to be honest, this coming from a cake artist, some of his cakes are 30% or more inedible! Now I understand doing that on one or two cakes but my policy is EVERYTHING on the cake should be edible and beautiful.
I consider my work cake artistry with a high value on quality and taste of the cake and the presentation. I think he focuses more on the look of things

And they use way too much of that nasty stuff he covers the cakes in, cake should have FROSTING

I always wondered that too. I imagine it tasting like flour paste for some reason. If its Wilton brand it is AWFUL. Pettinice, satin ice, and fondux taste great. I make my own marshmellow fondant for non fondant lovers. It tastes yummy

One should not use 'food' or baking ingredients which can be bought at a hobby store. Marshmallow fondant is indeed delicious! Rolled white chocolate is a nice fondant alternative as well.

they're fun to look at but I wouldn't want to eat any of those. They handle the cakes and the fondant too much to the point where it kind of grosses me out. I don't want to eat some icing that someone's been rolling around in their hands and digging their fingers into it to sculpt it.

My aunt's one too.....but not like Duff & Co. though. I guess it depends on the type of cake you request. Charm City Cakes have traditional ones too. I wouldn't request a traditional one though. The crazier the better. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Yeah, I think about that too. One episode they were transporting this flamingo cake and they were having a hard time getting it in the van. No way it went untouched the whole trip there. Then it was starting to rain too. That was a show piece I think though. I'd like to think they're not like that with regular cakes. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
