They prefer those down on their luck and decide its ok to do what you do to/or with them as they are at fault for casting that of value before swine... Odd justification but on we go.... One further justifies himself and or his lack as being the fault of those is in control.... or those in supposed high places... never takking responsibility for ones self....

( Not that I am guilt free of some of this along lifes course but I guess I never felt the need to find a scape goat to blame for lack of my success.... Or to drench me in the concept that something greater then me is to blame so I am free to relax and feel no guilt for a life wasted....

I never read this type of mindset, or this song specifically as relax and waste your life. I read it as the fact that a good chunk of the world relly doesn't give a shit about you/me and our individual failure or success in life. Therefore we need to work that much harder at our goals.
