i like old people names. i think they're classy. plus, i have no idea why someone would name their poor child something like "skylar" or "rain" (sorry if you like those names, i just don't lol ).

i LOVE the name HENRY for a boy, though CHESTER is nice too - "chet" is a nice, classic, masculine nickname. both my grandfathers were named chester, so i'd probably name a kid that if i ever had the chance. nod

i like old victorian names for girls, though probably MARY or HARRIET or even JUNE or APRIL are nice too. i don't like hippie dippie super modern names for kids. i guess i established that. lol

I could see you with a son named Sylar!

Oh you guys, this thread is right up my alley! ( my biological clock begins to tick wildly)

I had a bunch of baby names that I liked, but my boyfriend hates them all. I liked Coda for a girl, because it is a cool musical term, and Lennox for a boy. Yeah, he laughed, so I don't think we'll be giving our children those names. lol

I know for a fact that I want to name my kids something unique, so they aren't the 4th or 5th kid in their class with the same name. I made up a beautiful girl name, but it's a secret. I don't want anyone to steal it.

Good idea to pick unique names, there was 5 girls named Veronica when I was in elementary school one year, it was not easy for our teacher.

Yeah, my man's name is Jonathan. In our Music Theory class in college (where we met) he was one of 4 Jon's, and it was not a very big class.

I tend to like a lot of Biblical names like David, Mary, Samuel, Joshua, Jacob, Sarah, stuff like that.

When I have children, if I have a boy I'd love to name him Dimitri.

I agree. I love traditional, strong names. I don't have kids, but my sister's children are Katherine Elizabeth (Kate) and Charles Thomas (Charlie). I was thrilled when she named my nephew Charlie. I absolutely love that name and it fits him perfectly.

And none of this unisex crap. People are handicapping their kids' careers with unisex names. The kids are gonna have to put "Ms." or "Mr." on their resumes, so recruiters know their gender. It's dumb. Sorry.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

my friends named their twins amira and zahra (this was pre angelina jolie, mmkay? lol) - i think those are very pretty names, and the "A" and "Z" names for twins was pretty cute too, i thought.
