How are you finding her music?

How are you finding her music? I'm really into it, actually. I never really gave her much of a chance because I thought I'd get really tired of her voice after about 15 minutes. But the vast array of sounds in her music, the beats, and the really unique brilliant lyrics have really gotten my attention. And I've found that I love about every song I've heard of "Volta" as well. I've been listening to about 5 songs from each of her albums, but all on shuffle so I don't know the new from the old. Plus, I keep finding stuff by her and adding it into the shuffle. I don't want to start listening to her albums until the songs become more familiar all mixed up randomly like this. It's been cool.

"I've Seen It All" is a great, haunting song. pan's labyrinth AND dancer in the dark?!? it's been nice knowing you. Ok, I just finished "Pan's Labyrinth." Awesome film. I loved it. Except for one thing: Why the friggin' fuck did the bitch eat the grapes? If I had an answer to that question, the movie would be alot better. All things considered, though, I loved it. Pan himself was great, and the eyes-in-his-hands dude was scurrry.

My brother and I saw it opening weekend and it took us a few hours to recover. We were just sitting in the corner of Denny's sobbing openly. I can understand why Bjork never wants to do another proper movie again. There have only been a few movies that have done that to me..."Kids" was one of them..."American Beauty" was another (Snakepeel (aka Case) and I sat in the theater parking lot bawling our eyes out). I still need to see "Pan's Labyrinth"

I still need to see "Pan's Labyrinth" Honestly, I've shed a few tears in a few films. "Old Yeller." "The Color Purple." Whatever. But NOTHING made me absolutely break down and cry except for the series finale of "Six Feet Under." I was alone, probably a little high, and I bawled until my face was raw and I was exhausted. And I didn't even like the show all that much. But the last few episodes, then that last montage when they showed the deaths of all the main characters...

It was like somebody took my brain and shook it really hard and put everything back together but it didn't quite fit right. I still think about that plastic bag. I haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth either. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

When I saw Dancer in the Dark the entire theater was packed, not an empty seat, and near the end when they are getting ready for the hanging and the phone rings (to see about a pardon?), the jail officer who answered said something like, "Houston we have a problem." (I can't remember the exact line.) To me that line seemed so corny that I laughed out loud! I'm a cold-hearted bitch, I know. Whaddaya gonna do?

It's really sad that you remember that I was a total TV junkie in the 80s--especially on Thursday nights watching NBC: Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court, L.A. Law. For three hours straight I was glued to the tube. TV sucks now. I watch the same amount of network programming in a week that I did back then on that one night.
