Loved it back when I didn't even know half of what was being said. I know a teacher who played it for a bunch of 7th graders. I wonder how many parents would've liked to have known that. That movie is loaded with sexual innuendos. I also thought Grease 2 was a lot of fun (as its own movie apart from the original), especially that "Cool Rider" part.

'Grease' is one of my Top 10 favorite movies of all-time.I remember in the summer of '78 seeing it at least a dozen times in theatres. It's a charming film that you just can't resist. The soundtrack is also a guilty pleasure...

"Grease" by Frankie Valli
"Summer Nights" by Jonh Travolta and Olivia Newton-John
"Hopelessly Devoted To You" by Olivia Newton-John
"You're The One That I Want" John & Olivia
"There Are Worse Things I Could Do" Stockard Channing
"We Go Together" John & Olivia and cast

"He got friendly holding my hand...well,she got friendly "down in the sand"...he was sweet,he just turned eighteen...she was "good" if you know what I mean"

I will definitely buy the DVD next week as I have worn out my VHS copy wink

Since you may have to edit the post I'll do you the favor of not quoting it in its entirety - just 'cause I'm such a kind-hearted person...and you know this!...

But I just had to say...you're such a geek.
biggrin

I think 'Grease 2' was a sad fiasco. The songs were awful ("Reproduction"?? "We're Gonna Score Tonight"?? Yikes!) and the cast was embarrassing to watch. The only redeeming quality was a song performed by the two stars near the end, something about "Turning Back The Hands Of Time".That part was cool.

The first 'Grease' movie takes place in 1959,I think, and the sequel is supposed to take place in 1962.So the original cast would have already graduated by then smile

But I agree with you,a sequel should NOT have been made.

You know what would be cool? A 'Grease 3' starring the original cast!! It could be set in the present and it shows them all going to their high-school reunion.Danny and Sandy are now married, but Rizzo and Kenickie both show up with their *NEW* loves, which creates conflict because those old feelings come creeping back.It could be a musical too.

"GREASE 3: The Rydell High Reunion"

Starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John

What do you guys think? Should I start writing the script? smile
