Don't the Pixies just totally blow your mind? Think the eyeball slicing is a reference to Fellini. now I'm on Pixies- Tame To be 100% accurate, the eyeball slicing is from "Un Chien Andalou" by Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel. "Un Chien Andalou" is considered to be the greatest surrealist film ever made and one of the more memorable parts of the film was the eyeball slicing... then you have things like the ants marching in and out of a man's flesh and good things like that. Frank Black is a big film fan and wrote "Debaser" about "Un Chien Andalou." I was happy the first time I heard the song and these lyrics: Got me a movie I want you to know Slicing up eyeballs I want you to know Girlie so groovy I want you to know Don't know about you But I am un chien Andalusia I am un chien Andalusia (x3) Wanna grow Up to be Be a debaser Debaser (x5) Check this link for further information on "Un Chien Andalou": http://us.imdb.com/Title?0020530 And...
