10 things I miss about living in America...

As you may or may not know, I have lived in the UK (Ipswich) for 2 years now but I still find it very hard to adjust! Just when you think you've assimilated into a culture you realise ur still a damn Yankee. wink

Things I miss:

1. Driving on the correct side of the road!

2. Dating men who used breathmints wink

3. Being able to understand what the men were saying!

4. Better healthcare (i.e. not having to qeue in line forever and ever)

5. I miss the country accents. YEE HAW! lol

6. I miss being able to mention Austin Powers without being given a lecture about how that movie stereotypes English men (well d'uh!) and how Mike Meyers' accent was "dreadful"

7. 2 words: the food (well, some of it at least)

8. I miss the youth. I never thought I'd say that but it's quite obvious the youth here have not realised that punk is dead and so is dying you hair green! biggrin

9. I miss being spoken to like an adult, instead of coming to work and hearing "Fetch me this, love", "Love, would you get that for me?" I'm not your child!

10. I miss the horrible commercials. Ok, I'm lying. nod

smile I know you all can have a sense of humour about this as I have...besides I don't hate living here, I actually enjoy it at times. nod REALLY!
