I picked the name because I'm a sucker for most things esoteric, Irish, etc. Also the festival heralds my favorite time of year -- the cusp of summer and fall. Lastly, I'm not a NeoPagan, but I think there's something enriching about taking time to appreciate what the earth gives up for us and to observe seasonal cycles of birth, maturation, death, resurrection in nature as reflective of our own lives. I think I'm at a sort of personal "Lammastide."

(Gooeyhamster to many) Anyway we came in from an invasion night at oh I don't know 4:30 am ish and Herman posted a bit then we were off to bed... morning comes and I am in the shower.... hes laughing and preping breakfast and coffee.... I get out and go over to breakfast and then he jumps in the shower and I look at the invasion thread... I see everyone is referring to me as Karfen as he did the early hours... so I go to him HERMAAAANNNNN Everyone is calling me Karfen... Yes I know he shouts... I said well does that mean something in Dutch? No, its a TYPO!
