We all choose our screennames for one reason or another. Many are Prince inspired, some are simply peoples real names, i.e. Miguel Gomez

My name came from an old name I had back in the purple and black days of the org. I was Organgrinder The Magnificent back then. Then Ben launched a new org and that happened to be too many characters to continue as my screenname. 25 Characters max, that is 26

So someone sent me an email saying to hurry up and register before my name was taken and I went to sign up as Organgrinder and it was already taken So I thought about a new name and it took me three days to come up with it. I was listening to the black album and *viola* my new name was born. SupaFunkyCaliFragiSexy became SupaFunkyOrgangrinderSexy Coincidentally, CaliFragi and Organgrinder have the same amount of syllables

Little did I know how connected I would become to my screenname. For all intents and purposes, and to spare everyone the drama of my long ass name, it got shortened to Supa and that is what I go by here. The character of Supa is really not very different than the person Richard. I am very much in real life how you see me here. I'm sure people who have met me can attest to that. However, Supa is a little bit more of everything I want to be in life.

Supa is a fighter, Supa is a lover, Supa is a peacemaker, Supa is a leader. Some people have said that they look up to "Supa" and that is something that "Richard" very much desires. Supa is someone I look up to as well

Is anybody else having this kind of connection with their screennames? Have you become more of who you are because of your persona here? I have.

for a while i was the infamous clit boy, but that died a death when erin left my crime fighting team...

apart from that brief period, my org name is rather dull... lol

well, it's the 'last name' of what my actual middle name is, so i guess i do.

Naahh, my org persona and my "real life" persona are pretty much the same . My screenname goes waaaaay back to my HipHop and graffiti days when I was known among friends for my calm, cool and relaxed manner and how I would handle stressful situations with ease....plus my real name starts with the letter "e".

I think changing your org name is a bad thing because people get used to it and the avatar it comes with, and when you change it people have a hard time recognizing you...then again, that´s probably the intention behind it...to start from scratch again.
There are some org dudes I really miss and that I´d gotten used to and I wonder whether they´re gone for good or whether they´re still here, under different names...like that " Ellis" something dude, or better known as nwprsoul, or kingsausage or wellbeyond a.k.a byron...

Interesting question, and one I've thought about since I first met orgers. Cause I think the only time you realise theres a difference is when you are confronted with people who only see the orger.

Susannah (not Melvoin, me) is who I want to be, shes way cooler than me. Its Susannah who goes to every invasion, and parties, and has interesting things to say. Alice is a geek, who sits on the org too much (not so much any more though), obsesses about things and procrastinates a lot!

But I think we all have these divisions, one confident sassy half and one introverted half. Its just we don't all have separate names for them. When I feel confident, I feel like Susannah, cause thats the feedback I get from orgers, that Susannah is that cool confident girl...

No, I totally get it I think its to do with peoples preconceptions of you, dont you think? People I know from the org, that I've actually met and had some kind of relationship with, seem to see me differently than others.

As for Ms Melvoin, noone really remarks on her I think I ramble on about Wendy early enough to need no explanation

But I guess their preconceptions must have something to do with her as well, I mean it would be different if I chose another Prince girl....
