Bizarre yet cool mental disorders

Capgrass syndrome: this is where you believe certain people have been replaced by duplicates of themselves. A former SNL from the early 80's cast, has this and is in jail in canada.

Also another SNL member ,Garrett Morris,
is a mental. He thinks he's being controled by robots.

BTW. Garrett Morris doesm't have any mental disorders. He apparently was into freebasing cocaine which caused his hallucinations in the late 70's. He is still appearing in films.

Wow. I hope everything ends up working out okay for his family. I had a similar situation with my daughters' father who developed a serious mental illness.

Too bad real Tourette's isn't like the movies. Most people with it don't actually randomly, loudly cuss.

I've met someone with Tourette's who did. It was...intense. She yelled "Fuck YOU! Fuck YOU!" randomly, and every time she did it she would jerk her head to the side and jab her middle finger diagonally toward her shoulder. She'd also make loud grunting/snorting sounds randomly.

Does not matter, my point is that should not make fun of people who have to deal with this stuff on a daily basis...just a touch subject for me.

i think different people have different sensitivities and what is considered a well-meaning way of making life less scary through humor for one person can be seen as a heartless and offensive joke to another. for my part, i'm certainly trying to go for the former and not the latter in anything i post or write. i do appreciate being reined in when/if i go too far. nod
