I do get scared when cutting my hair, espcially because to this date I have not found a good stylist. I expect my hair to be too short always thats just what happens you tell them this much but when my hair actually dries its way shorter than you expected but fortunately mine grows fast. One time though I went to a new stylist and she wanted to thin out my hair which I usually do and I have no idea what she did but she left my hair full of split ends, worst experience ever!!!! now that is something I do not do anymore.

I just got my hair trimmed. I love it.

But that wasn't always the case, so generally speaking, I hate getting my hair cut.

I used to wear my hair super short. The stylist who first cut-it had hair similar to mine--wavy, and thinnish strands but lots of hair if that makes any sense. She did a terrific job. It was a great short cut!

Well when she left, I was miserable for like three years. I couldn't find anyone to cut it as well as she. I tried to grow it out, but I couldn't get through that weird stage. So I went to other stylists, and they always made a mess of it. It was horrible. I hated my hair. I was embarrassed a lot of the time. It was really frustrating

Then last year, I was so busy with work and family problems, I just didn't have time to mess with it. Low and behold, I was able to grow it out--finally. Now I wear it shoulder length--sometimes a little longer--which is very long for me considering it's been a while I had my hair that long. Plus, I think I've found a good stylist again, but this time, I'm not taking any chances. I'm just not going to get any more severe or ultra-layered cuts, and never have my hair trimmed shorter than my shoulders when its dry. (Since it's wavy, I have the stylist cut it a little longer while wet.) I always tell the stylist, I want the option of pulling it back, so I want it long enough I can do that--and not too many layers to where it's really thin. I have some long layers, but not excessive. It's just a basic cut--nothing fancy. And I go in around every six weeks for a trim--maybe a bit longer in between. I also bring pics, so the person has an idea.

I know it's just hair and eventually it will grow-out, but there is nothing worse than getting a really bad short haircut. And when it's a bad short haircut, there is not a whole lot a person can do to hide it. Plus, with my hair being wavy, it looks good short or long, and that in between stage is a nightmare. I'm hoping not to go through that again anytime soon.

Anyway, yeah... I hate getting haircuts--still even though it's looked OK since I've grown it out. But it still makes me nervous.

I just went to get a trim. My hair was fried so bad because of the constant coloring and use of the flat iron. Now, I have lots of layers, but the length is good.

I don't hate it. I dislike it. Don't get me wrong i love change and getting it done but I dislike the fact that there has yet to be a time they do it right

I love having it done if I know them and trust that they will do what I want. If it's a new person doing it I am very nervous.

The last cut I got was awful so I am back to cutting my hair myself.

I always have to change my hair.. sometimes its just the colour but every once in a while I get it cut really short.. once it grows down to my ears I fight the urge of getting another cut... once I give in I hate it.. the awkward stage is horrible

I love getting my haircut, it needs doing now actually. Needs a trim in time for a special occasion coming up.

I usually go in.. long hair, shoulder length, short and just tell them to do what the hell they want.. and they do anyway, but thats totally cool with me.. I love the surprise, and the new look..

I need a cut every 3 weeks to a month, so if they screw up it, of well.
A couple of months back, I got in a pinch and had to go to someone I didn't know. She put her hands my hair and "you got a lot hair" and it was 3 inches long
She hacked me up pretty good.
Cardinal rule; don't be the last cut of the day.

Oh ok.. I confess, I dont like going to a different salon to the one I am used to..

I do not mind getting my hair cut, what scares me is getting it colored. I always have this terror that they will mess up and I will be a bleached blonde or something. I am a natural brunette, and proud. I usually get my hair colored a nice auburn/brown. gotta hide the grays..

and the hairdresser near shaved it up the back, kept some wispy bits around the front.. I was like, I wanted to keep the length, and she said, yes, you have some long bits here, and another one there..



but it grows back.. its always fun to experiment, cos you end up doing things you wouldnt normally dream of doing..

years ago, I went in to get a haircut, I knew it was bad when the girl went to "the back" to get someone's help!! the other lady continued cutting! I was horrified! thankfully the new girl fixed whatever lady number one had done wrong!
