Unfortunately, I've assisted with the procedure, for those who require an anesthetic. We have a special procedure room. Most colonoscopys are done in the department with sedation. For peds and certain adults, general anesthesia is needed and done in our department. There's alot of gas and cramping afterwards. There's a slight risk of perforation or bleeding. Which reminds me, when I get it schheduled, I'm requesting a pediatric scope. None of those hoses. Its not that bad.. I go for one every 18 months or so.. yeah you do feel bloated a bit, but I wouldnt let it put you off. I get sedated and its really quite relaxing watching the camera and stuff. Its importnant for your health, so no matter how uncomfortable you believe it to be, it really isnt and the pros of having it done really outweight the cons.. I will love you forever and you will never be forgotten - L.A.F. ![]()

Just pretend you are doing porn. You'll be fine Well, the "owws" and "awwws"and "right there" might get a little weird for the staff!! Especially since I know most of them. They'll be like, "she really likes it up the ass". Of course the sedation is Versed, which is an amnesiac, so I won't remember any of it. [Edited 5/15/07 17:25pm]
