I'll cut a bitch if they try to take my MAC Foundation, lips, eyes... people always tell me how great/beautiful my skin looks - my SKIN, not my MAKEUP - it's HOW you wear it that's key. Makeup evens out my skintone & enhances my features (or makes them pop depending on the shade). All those "natural" looking women in magazines have on a full face of makeup For some it's a little boost to their self esteem, I know I feel better when I have it on b/c I know I look better. How shallow of me! I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it

Hey, if we're gonna talk about deception lets talk about the Fake titties and the fake nails lol. I wear makeup...because I want to and I dont make it too obvious I hope. My skin is a little dodgy so I wear it to disguise that somewhat but I can go without as well. I think makeup should only be used to enhance ones features but there are always those that take things too far, male and female!

Let's piss Dex off & turn this into a makeup thread But seriously I've been thinking about trying either MAC ProLash or DiorShow b/c I hear about them so often. I'm pretty faithful to Maybelline Xtreme (w/ the primer) but I dunno, the thought of spending more than $7 on my eyeliner bugs me I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Natural is the new style, in my book. But it doesn't have to mean no make-up, just means it should look like there's no make-up.

Matching my skintone is always tricky, haven't tried that one. I think I tried that mousse foundation stuff they had out a while back, it was awful on me & looked chalky. Some companies don't have the right properties for certain skin types. My skin has a goldish undertone so it's gotta be pretty warm to match well & many are kind of cold & chalky. Revlon, Maybelline & L'Oreal are shitty on me (even that TrueBlend stuff Beyonce was pushing MAC is good, Neutrogena used to be the BOMB before they stopped making shades for Black people . I love a bit of makeup but some days I can't be bothered to put it on. But then catch a look at myself after lunch and think, "I wish I had bothered." A while back someone posted this... http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&search=

They just have no idea that makeup can look very natural & half the chicks they think are so cute naturally are actually wearing makeup . [Edited 5/13/07 8:10am] I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it

heartbeatocean said: I don't wear makeup, but I'm suspicious of a guy who likes women without makeup. I had a friend in college who would go on about the virtues of women without makeup, but he would go out with the most beautiful women on campus with the most perfect angelic faces.
That is, I'm sure you appreciate your beauty and it's not all "inner beauty" you're looking for either. Just the fact that you claim makeup might be deception, perhaps indicates that you like TRULY beautiful women who don't NEED makeup. It just seems to be another double standard that women are subject to. Same goes to women though. Maybe men have harder times hitting on women because the men show their true faces (make-up wise) when they meet the girl, and so she doesn't see the guy in the adds with the shiny muscles, deep eyes and perfect hair. We are all attracted to outer beauty. Whoever says they are attracted to what is considered ugly, I suspect is not telling the complete truth. It takes time to learn the person you're with and see their inner beauty, so the first attraction is their outer beauty. And for me, I'd like to know it's not a mask she's wearing.

I think it's better to be fooled by make up than by personality. I would not want to go out with or hang out with a fake person. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

I think it's better not to be fooled at all Ok seriously...how does makeup fool you? You thought that she was naturally pink glossy lips or dark rimmed eyes? A stuffed bra I can see as something that can fool you because you might think it was natural, but who seriously thinks that a woman has naturally red stained lips? Again, makeup is used to draw attention to certain features. It's not like she is wearing a mask of someone else.

*Full n' Soft For night time:
*Last Expansion or *Sky High Curves always, always, always in Very Black. I just bought a Stila Smudge Pot (eyeliner) a couple weeks ago. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to use make-up remover to get it off.

I'm wearing make-up only on occasion to make me feel special, I think make-up emphasizes parts of the face (eyes, lips) that I'm proud of.
But I don't need make-up, it's like dressing up in beautiful clothes, just to feel special on occasion. But some people seem to wear make-up to hide certain parts (or sometimes the whole face). That's ugly!!!

Not when the case is to draw attention away from other features. Why? That makes no sense. Why would someone emphasize their less attractive features? Why not call attention to your stunning green eyes and away from your crooked nose? It's not like you're putting your nose in your purse, only to pull it out later, like "Ah HA! Fooled you, SUCKER!" Should she instead paint her nose red like fuckin' Rudolph, just to make sure you're aware of it? The Normal Whores Club

Should she instead paint her nose red like fuckin' Rudolph, just to make sure you're aware of it? Well, I've never dwelled in that question, so my views are not strong. But basically, if you're trying to hide your crooked nose, aren't you basically fooling the person to think you don't have a crooked nose? I'd like to know that what I see is what I get. I can understand lipstick, but sometimes make up can be used to make you look completely different. the right shadings can make your face's shape look different.

For women makeup is just an extension of wearing nice clothes, it completes the whole look. Whats the difference between a woman wearing clothes that flatter her figure and shape and makeup that flatters her features? She'd be alright to wear a short skirt to show her legs off but not apply some blusher to emphasise her face shape...bit odd really. Clothes are also used to detract from body parts a woman isnt happy with.
Anyway, its a matter of choice. ... [Edited 5/13/07 15:45pm]
