It'll be my first day off in several weeks, so anything involving fun is intended. Like anywhere else, I have several places to choose to celebrate. There are firework shows all over the place here. I might spend it in the countryside, though. During the day we always participate in the International Pillowfighting Championships.

2) Since the year is half over, what is your biggest accomplishment so far this year?
Overcoming a hefty chunk of an extremely unhealthy crush. It's fucked me up and time has helped, contrary to how I'd felt before. I'm also pleased to be so far along in the process to become a correctional officer. It's not a career choice--I'm still finishing my first degree and am doing it strictly for the large paycheck until I take a teaching job. Lastly, my general "consciousness" has gone up a notch, for lack of a better explanation. The last few years, (especially last year) were spent in a self-induced mental coma. I feel like a fucking child of light in comparison to then. Words don't do it justice, however. Sorry, that was more than one accomplishment. Oh, time out, one more! My day job (only a few weeks into it) is my first management position, ever! I'm much better at shelling it out than taking it in. It's like fucking therapy compared to all the other jobs I've had. And it's spiritually rewarding, too, considering I help save lives. SO selfish of me, but it helps me sleep at night. It's a nice temporary fix until I really start devoting my time where it's needed.

My fucking weight. It seems every time I'm on a roll, something happens where I have to take a break.

I shit you not, I made my bed yesterday for the first time in over six months. I got brand new sheets a few months ago and JUST washed them and put them on. I even flipped the mattress.

The food in this house disappears faster than it can pass an expiration date, thanks to my roommate's friends--as for wiping it down, it's done regularly.

To distance myself from my two close friends for the sake of our collective happiness and peace.

To save as much money as I can and pass the physical to join the Peace Corps.

It's an exhilirating, exciting time. I just can't get over how much mental/physical energy I have in comparison to last year. It's got to be divine--where else did it come from? My only choice is to not let it go to waste.
